What has this thread turned into...?

I am 19 now, unluckily. I've moved down a category (in social standing).

I just meant I should be in 19-24 now. So i've gone down a category on the poll. I was just taking a jibe and saying i've left the elite group of under 18's and insulting 19-24 year olds :p Which I am anyway, but there's nothing like a bit of self-devaluation. I'm sorry if I offend you :D

I'm still in the same catagory I was. But I'm due to go up a catagory the year after next....
How's that for a gnomic utterance?
If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do. If some one maintains that two and two are five, or that Iceland is on the equator, you feel pity rather than anger, unless you know so little of arithmetic or geography that his opinion shakes your own contrary conviction. … So whenever you find yourself getting angry about a difference of opinion, be on your guard; you will probably find, on examination, that your belief is going beyond what the evidence warrants. You can't just say that and not post your age :folken:

@ tharinock: it gives me a warm feeling to hear that not all kids are slaves to the shiny screens. Also, I believe you could be tying with Leoman as youngest on the board! Especially since Krupee neglects to post his age, so we will just assume he is 35 :D

close call, you only missed it by a small margin.
I'm 18 since last month. :p
And i thought you could check my age from the poll?

verwhelming, a strange word. I must ponder it's meaning.

I still think, it would be just 'whelming'.

Also, why is awful bad and awesome good? having some awe is a good thing, but being full of awe is bad? interesting...

Only explanation I can deign to give is:

There can be too much of a good thing, I think awful tends to mean. Your body and mind are in so much awe you're having a difficult time operating. It means out of the comfort zone.

But why is awful not the same as "I'm full of awe". I'm full of awe is a good thing.

Confusing to say the least.

Of course, my entire argument rests on the fact that awful is awe+full and not the noise you make when you hear something sad tacked onto the front of the word full.

No, I can only see how many people voted for each category - it's anonymous unless you mention your answer in your post. And I'm soon to be 23, so just one category ahead of you :p

[edit] Um, yeah, I just did some clicking and found that you can see who voted what if you click the number. Oops ;)

I must fight myself, I'm the only MAN in my life. Don't worry I've broken the very idea of capitalism and democracy is no longer an idea people like to throw around.

People around here like to call me "The God of Winter, Summer, Spring and Autumn", the only negative side to my 'rule' is harsh punishment for law breakers, which many people feel is morally wrong.

Krupee is wiser than 2x plus 2y.
Tharinock is wiser than 3x plus y.

strange, how my poor spelling (after all, English is my third language), can spurk a deep philosophical debate... truly, we all have too much time on our hands...

Or just other activities that are somewhat paltry compared to this.

Why don't they pay us or provide better entertainment for us poor youths?!

Just to stay on thread topic, in 21 more years I'll be in the legendary 40+ category, I'm looking forward to the day.

Dancer im not talking about fighting afainst A man. i mean THE man. although your post made it sound like you are the only The Man in your life. If so, then you can replace the man with all in your path. remember, the path of least resistance the path with no resistance, and that path is usually painted with the blood of the resistance.

I know, friend.

I tend towards the idiocy/misunderstanding/arrogance card. I will certainly fight the man where I stand.

I wonder what the census of age is for the entire malaz reading population...
