@pots...thanks
but damn, i have a daughter older than most of you.
most importantly (especially for those of us over 40), SE and ICE are our age.

That's the spirit!!!
I regret upsetting the older folks on this forum by choosing to make this non-anonymous...but I don't understand their reactions either. I look forward to growing older and wiser. I say and do stupid things and I always hope that the older I get, the wiser and more mature I become.
@Kallor I hardly think that this poll in any way reflects the true demographic of SE's readers. I think it reflects the demographic of non-luddite or tech-savvy readers who don't think forums are nerdy or wierd or summat.

17 myself (18 in December and off to uni in Sep/Oct), although I found Erikson at 16...a suggestion from my godfather. I think it could have been earlier, but I didn't really devote myself to systematically to reading SF/F until 15 and it took me a while to pick Erikson off the shelves.

Don't look now, but I think there's something weird attached to the bottom of my posts.

35 this Month.. sigh....
I remember taking the piss out of a 33 year old when I was 16 and starting my first job (" do you know your twice my age"). I now have 13 under 20 year olds in my department to whom I manage. Christ I wish I was 16 again.

As I inevitably inch towards 30, I like to think of the benefits of age. You know, being wise enough not to get yourself into ridiculous situations and all that. At what age does that kick in? Or is nobody there yet

@Kettle ~ be careful...I shook my walking stick at someone once...just before I fell over
'Tell me, Tool, what dominates your thoughts?'
The Imass shrugged before replying. 'I think of Mafia, Adjunct.'
'Do all Imass think about Mafia?'
'No. Few think at all.'
'Why is that?'
The Imass leaned his head to one side and regarded her. 'Because, Adjunct, they are sheeple.'
Sometimes I wonder, "Why is that frisbee getting bigger?" ... and then it hits me.

Yaha! Turning 18 in about 2-3 months...
Question:
Does being the only sane person in the world make you insane?
If a tree falls in the woods and a deaf person saw it, does it make a sound?
