I honestyl dont see anything wrong with that idea of putting down 'A book of the malaz' or whatever..

For people (most of them it'd be) that dont look at the net know the corelation between Esselemont and Erikson it'd certainly be getting all the Erikson fans over simply from looking at the cover.

And I dont what your complaining about the steve stone ones. The Last two were pretty decent I think.

Folken is a cry baby me thinks :p

Do the covers really matter that much? I rarely look at a book's cover. I've learned by now that often it has little to do with the story, and was produced with no input from the author. Just ignore it, and enjoy the story.

A Book of The Malaz...really makes no sense. If it was A Book of Malaz or A Novel of Malaz, I wouldn't have said anything...but the "The" has no place in there

oh btw Hume I'm not compalining about the cover art, I love the cover art. It was that layout change they made. The Bonehunters wasn't in the same font used in all of the other novels, the little white separtor was missing between the title and the series name. It just looks like the layout they used for th BH cover was more of a mock design. I even seem to remember Hetan posting somewhere that while she was talking with the editor, he mentioned that they were going to "tweak" the cover so that it was similar to the other covers and she posted the "tweaked" cover...i swear to u it was the same one lol

meh w/e I'll stop my boohooing now:D...no really I will

Agreed, voland. Good day everyone. My first post on this site is to enquire as to whether anyone could tell me a release date for Reapers Gale in New Zealand, or the Pacific region? I work at a bookstore anyway, but all the release dates weve had are passed already.Id heard 4th may 07, 1st June 07, and 16th June 07. Ive got Healthy Dead to read in the meantime, but I'm pretty keen for the new Book of the fallen from what scraps I've heard about it...actually I've been waiting for my fix since the start of the year. Any help would be great, cheers.

Australia has it in stores now...so...we dont get any information on release dates apart from UK and Canada. We just naturally assume Aussie dates are somewhere in between UK and Canada so NZ should follow AUS...though...who knows

Aus stores get it normally 6-8 weeks after UK. Am I right fellow Aussies?

Ok. What i get told is that generally if orders are coming from the UK or US they filter on down through the pacific, and basically, whatever stock happens to be leftover after Aus has its shipments gets sent here. So, I guess either the rest of the world got greedy, or theres a separate shipment coming soon.Ah well, Ill wait it out. I hope its worth the wait.Ive read the prologue, but those things rarely give much to get started with.I have been waiting to see what happens with Toc the Younger though, after he ascended in Memories Of Ice, and it looks like I finally will what with the references to wolves at the end of the prologue.

So when is Return of the Crimson Guard out now? Not May 2007 as this thread suggests im guessing? Any ideas please chaps?
"I think i was a bad person before. Before this time. I do not try to be good now but i am not bad. Perhaps if i try harder i may get a better hand dealt next time? But surely that makes it pointless? Perhaps i am good. Just good at being pointless. But that would make me bad. Bad at having a point. Ah…. I see now. I was nothing before, I am nothing now. I am bad purely because im pointless. "

Really? Before the end of 2007???
Oh geez, they're going to charge a kidney and a first-born for this...

- Abyss, doesn't really need that kidney... or that hypothetical first-born actually...

Why is it that publishing companies are so slow about things?! :)

I know that Amazon's release dates not always are to be entirely trusted but I will at least inform you that they state the release of Toll the Hounds to occur 11th August 2008 (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Toll-Hounds-Malaza...980040&sr=8-14). Whether it is true or not ... well, what do you think? I thought it would be released next spring.

No affirmative release date on Toll the Hounds as of yet so I wouldn't put much stock on the Amazon release date. No word on the completion of the novel either, last word was he was on Book 4 and we haven't heard since and I haven't been in touch with people who would know how far he is lately so can't help out there either. Anyways he should finish by years end, hand it over, Bantam will naturally take its sweet time in publishing the novel so yeah , I wouldn't expect the novel to hit book shelves until late next year.
