No affirmative release date on Toll the Hounds as of yet so I wouldn't put much stock on the Amazon release date. No word on the completion of the novel either, last word was he was on Book 4 and we haven't heard since and I haven't been in touch with people who would know how far he is lately so can't help out there either. Anyways he should finish by years end, hand it over, Bantam will naturally take its sweet time in publishing the novel so yeah , I wouldn't expect the novel to hit book shelves until late next year.

No. By January.

I demand it.

Also, I will give Abyss a nice rusty spoon as a christmas present, and if it has not arrived... there will be brains to pay. BRAINS!

Steve told me when I saw him on September 25th that he had "probably only three weeks of writing left." So that would make it about right now. But then there is his self-editing and what not, so who knows when he will turn in the final draft to Bantam/Tor.

Those who read the book early will be getting it soon, I'm sure. :o

Seriously...US members...buy from amazon.ca:p you wait and wait and wait and in the end you pay 5-10bucks less for a copy that is inferior in quality. It's not that hard to wait. As for a release date...9 months after the release of Bonehunters...so figure that out and add 9 months to it and ur set(Y)

Anyone know someone who might know if we have a chance of seeing the TtH prologue before year end? Would be wonderful to have it to read over the holidays! Even a paragraph would do!

Not happening. Prologues are normally sent away to us a month prior to the mass market paperback release of the previous novel. So I should be able to get it out to you guys around...early next year.

Well, early next year is better than late! PS Publishing is sending out the special edition of the RotCG early next year too. Yikes, what if they came on the same day???!!!

Hmm. I'm wondering why Amazon UK has a listing and a release date and cover for Reaper's Gale US, while Amazon usa doesn't.

I live in the U.S. and always get the books from Canada...it really isn't that much more expensive...and to me it is worth it so you don't have to wait so freaking long...

hell...I even got books 2, 3, and 4 from the U.K.

I bought em used as paperbacks...spent like 20 bucks B)

any word on Toll the Hounds?i already preordered it from both chapters and amazon UK. Chapters shows an early release for Canada than UK. Is this right?
Uk says Oct/Nov, and Chapters. ca says Sept

Canada will get it 1 to 1.5 months after the UK release. I'm also not sure where you're getting a Oct/Nov release date. Toll the Hounds is set for a June 2008 release in the UK based on Amazon.co.uk so look at a late july to mid august release in Canada.

i was looking at the dispatch estimate on Amazon UK for Oct. RG didn't take as long to ship from Uk, so I was confused.

Anyone know why Amazon UK is giving a dispatch estimate of 12-16 weeks instead of the 2 weeks I waited for RG?

because the book is yet to be released and there is no firm release date thus they probably just put in any random number for dispatch time.

anyways dont put much stock on those release dates by amazon. We'll let you know of a release date once the publishers gets back to us...but mid to late next year would be my best guess.

Also as a word of advice anyone outside of Europe looking to own a hardcover copy better pre-order from amazon.co.uk as there is always some form of shortage with them hardcovers. Hardcover copies of RG never made it to Canada, I had to go bug the publisher to send me a copy and since not all of you are that fortunate...order from the UK if u really want the hardcover.
