It has been given the once over by SE who says it's pretty much right iirc.
I've stickied it because I keep losing the link and it's quite good to have a reference point.

Cheers for that!

Hi Patrick
I perused the map and am quite impressed. It's pretty damned close. The continents are pretty much all the right place; the shape of a few are of course different but that's because they've not been visited in any of the novels. Korelri and Stratem are larger, for example; as is Assail. Genabackis needs to be angled slightly further south and up a notch or two in overall size. Lether is also larger (especially to the south of the empire proper, and Kolanse is also bigger. For all that, an exceptional bit of detective work: congrats to Adam!
cheers

O_o
Impress.
Nevertheless, it shows me how fr I have missed the shape of this world... (Was sure that Genabakis was left turned...)

Fun!
Questions:
Was it updated following SE's comments?
Anyone know where 'Lamentable Moll' fits?
And where is Unta supposed to be?
- Abyss, demands that someone make an online 'RISK' board out of this.

Unta is a city on Quon Tali, capital of the Empire.

Lamentable Moll : It's near Korel isn't it? and Theftian and Stygg are common languages..
Unta is on Quon Tali...east coast... kartool island is also off there

Not updated after SE's comments, no. Simply because I don't see what really I can change to fit in with the comments. Yeah, I could make Lether bigger, but it would still just be a random coastline.
Also, I'm kind of hindered putting a spherical planet on a flat screen. Stuff in the southern hemisphere (Korel, Stratem, Jacuruku and Assail) appears to smaller than they should be (same way that on some world maps Greenland appears to be bigger than South America).

I wonder where Torment is?
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

My office, most Monday mornings.
Oh, wait... that's not what you meant.
Aside: Fun map note - in the original GotM, Genbackis map, 'Patch' is the name of a city.
- Abyss, couldn't help it.

Has there been any indication on which continent the city of Quaint is situated?

There is also the city of Trygalle somewhere on Genabackis, home of the Trygalle Trade Guild. South of the Lamatath Plain, I seem to recall.

We might see Elingarth (and thus Trygalle) in Toll the Hounds, since the Grey Swords (or is it Helms? I already get the two confused) were heading that way at the end of MoI.

Murrin - Quaint is on the map there, just south of Elingarth:)

Oh. Didn't expect it (it's only a small city) so didn't look. Where did the location info come from, then?

Quaint has to be on Genabackis as a source of mine told me that Healthy Dead (or Blood Follows, I haven't read either, whichever one is set in Quaint) has references to MoI taking place not long before and Korbal Broach and Bauchlain arrive in Quaint from overland by wagon, giving the inference they've travelled overland to Quaint from their last location (Capustan, IIRC). That also fits in with Itkovian(?)'s comment that if they want to travel to the far east coast of the continent they need to follow the coast around to the south and then east past Elingarth.
Everything else is pretty much in the books. Jacuruku's continued existence on Malazworld was debated a bit, until careful reading revealed that K'rul only placed the surface layers of the continent into the empty (K'Chain Che'malle?) warren (thus forming the Imperial Warren), leaving the bedrock behind. The Bonehunters then 100% confirms this by having it mentioned that people from Jacuruku occasionally visit Quon Tali. That priest from Kartool mentions bumping into them.
