For me it was either Rake or Rallick. Rake was just such a bad ass

Heh, there have been many such threads in the past. I'll add my $.02. Kruppe.

If you had asked me the first time I read GOTM then it would definately have been Rake...I had goosebumps when Tattersail Corlat etc were just taliking about him, before he even made an appearance!
Having read the other books I still think he is super cool, but rereading GOTM for the XXXX time, then it has to be QB and obviously Kalam...and can't leave out Fid and Hedge, or Kruppe, or Rallick, and of course hairlock is brilliantly mad, and ..... who started this thread?? It's much too hard a question to answer...that's the point with SE...they are all too good...even the ones I don't like!

So many interesting characters, not easy to choose 1. I'll list 5
1 Apsalar
2 Cotillion/Rope
3 Shadowthrone
4 Quick Ben
5 Fiddler

I thought Hairlock was one of the most interesting characters in any story I had read. What a bizarre concept...a crazy puppet. As for favorites...
Quick Ben is up there...you start wondering who the heck he is, right away.
Rallick was probably my favorite non-Malazan.

Hairlock is maddening!!
Hairlock is damn hilarious. I loved picturing an insane puppet with all his crazy laughing and shouting.

I would have to say it was QuickBen, the way he made everyone dance to his tune. Next up was kalam and then Hairlock.
I had problems with Whiskeyjacks' name to so i decided to read it as though it is wisejack. Oh well

(Beg your pardon , I am french but I will do my best for being understandable )
In this book my favourite was Ganoës Paran , uh after I liked very much Sorry , Kalam & Quick Ben was cool . Krup made me laugh because of how he speak of himself , Anomander Rake
But my favourite of all his Dancer/Cotillion , dunno why but I love this character (and I also like Ammanas , again I like how he speaks , he makes me smiles)

This could possibly be some other person than Kruppe? Wedded in strictly lawful marriage to Absolute Truth, represented at the bar by Honesty, famed throughout all the worlds by his herald Courage, advised silently in the middle of the night by his tutor Wisdom . . .
. . . and, of course, a man who has serious conversations with the elder gods, and is guarded and goaded by a mule with a seriously long cosmological view.

Thanx
As far as I know Cotillion & Ammanas are not going to die for the moment (eh they already 'dead' once) so I decided to only really really really love Cotillion
Even if I know that is totally an illusion because I will love others characters (I'm reading Memories of Ice and in it there is Ganoes I like very much )
