The only French that I can seem to remember from school is Je ne joue pas au tennis. It doesn't help me much but it sure sounds pretty when spoken:D

yes, Kruppe is without a doubt one of the most original characters I've ever encountered.

Kruppe is always a fun read, just for his dialouge. But i also enjoy Sorry's story, even Rallik Nom was pretty awesome.

Easily Anomander Rake. He was to badass in that book. The Bridgeburners were great to.

I was going to say Kruppe hands down, untill I read everyone else's favorites. Then I have to say Kruppe just barely of Kalem. That reach over the ledge to grab the guy above was bee you ti full.

Toc the Younger, he was completely awesome the entire short time he was around for during the novel. Also Paran and Crokus (yes..Crokus, I thought it was interesting how he's always completely underwhelmed by all the incredible stuff that occurs around him and it takes him two books to finally grow up).

Of course almost all the other characters where great though some of Kruppes dream sequences were a bit thick to read.

Kruppe was good, so was Tool, Rake was the man. It's hard to puck one, there were a lot of good characters in this book.

I found that I didn't really have a favourite character. I took to the Bridgeburners straight away...I like the way they interact with each other and those around them. Whiskeyjack is a great man, stubborn (ie having his leg seen to) but a worthy leader. Hedge and Fiddler are two characters, the likes of I have never come across before. I look forward to getting to know them all better in the following books.

If you like them now, you'll love them later.

My favourite character in GotM was Toc...but that has changed since reading the other novels. Toc the Younger is cool, but I've found a new and more involved favourite since reading GotM.

Cotillion :( Who else? The Rope is by far my favourite character for reasons best not said here as Rest hasn't read any of the other books yet.

Good call. He's an interesting character, so much cooler than his hetero lifemate Shadowthrone.

At the time I think Kruppe was actually my favourite. Now it would definitely be Quick Ben and after him Anomander Rake.
