Given that I don't YET have TBH (it's comin', it's comin'), can one of you lucky ones let us know whether we can officially put to rest any of the wild speculation running rampant here since the end of HoC and MT...

Do we get answers to the following:

Traveller does/doesn't equal Dassem Ultor?
Quick's soletaken/divers form(s)?
Deragoth/Hounds of Shadow/Dessimbelackis(sp?) relationship?
Mules of Shadow existence of...

Simple yes or no answers would be lovely.

Thanks!

The mules of shadow=yes, or mules anyway....

Some info on hounds of shadow/deragoth

Quick Ben's soletaken form nada

Traveller=Dassem, its hinted at... strongly in my view but not directly stated.

I'll buy the Traveller/Dassem theory.

I mean, how many uber-soldiers can there be :).

I checked, and I still don't see even a hint about QB's form?

I don't know if that's a refference to his soletaken form, rather than a refference to how he had acted towards ST

It's not Mules of Shadow, it's mules of darkness.. MoD for short :)

And they seem to exist. I mean, there is a mule witnessing more or less every major event in the series ^^

I really thought it's an in the context thing, still, the capital letter is strange.

That's what I meant, the capital S.

Of course SE could still toss that in for fun...

Just another pov here... as a child QB made a figure of himself in the form of a wolf.... and when he rescued his sister, whom I believe was unconscious at the time? when she came round the said "There was a wolf", Paran replied "A Hound of Shadow". she went on "A wolf, the loveliest sweetest wolf in the world."..
just thought it was worth chucking out there.. :)

So, what happened to her again? Did she go somewhere else or is she with Paran's Host now? I forgot it if I saw it :)
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

She and old Brokeface just disappeared after going to Soliel's temple with Paran. He doesn't mention them being with his Host, so presumably they are both travelling the continent curing plague.

BTW, I thought the reappearance of Brokeface was cool, although I wouldn't have realised who he was if I hadn't been halfway through a reread of Deadhouse Gates when TBH arrived.

Making poor time reading the book (thanks to a new PC arriving and all the assorted problems getting it to work), but I sneaked a peek at the end. Am I reading it right that both Onearm's Host under Ganoes and the 14th Army and their Parish/Khrundyl/Wickan allies are on their way to Lether, presumably to wreck havoc? If so, than this whets my appetite for Reaper's Gale when I haven't even finished TBH!

Looks like only the 14th, as we don't know where Paran's Host are going after they reach Aren, but I really want them to meet, and for Lostara Yil, Corabb or Mathok to accidentally help Ganoes and Tavore realise who Shaik the 2nd really was (mwahaha)...

Imagine if both Karsa and Icarium are arguing outside Rhulad's palace, they start fighting, Rhulad runs out screaming "FIGHT ME" and both Karsa and Iccy stab him at the same time and say "Shut up!" then keep going. It's like The Good, The Bad And The Drooling Nutter all over again...

Or if Ruin shows up (mwahaha)

Power draws power. That is more or less the theme of the series, no? :)
