Don't think so... When Cotillion was possessing Sorry (waaay back in GoTM) he was pretty intent on killing Crokus/ Cutter.

Cottilion probably only cares about Cutter because Apsalar does and he feels bad about what he did to her.

You know when Cutter says "he was my uncle..." What does that mean? i thought he was referring to the insano Soldier of Death, the Seguleh 2nd.

The mage Baruk was introduced as Crokus' kindly uncle in GoTM. He later turned out to be part of the Torrud Cabal

Actually Mammot was his uncle. The one that died. The Seguleh Second doesn't think it's possible.

I have read upto Reapers Gale so far.

Has there been any expanding on the denizens of the continent of Assail?.

It is supposedly occupied by humans right? except these humans are of an as yet uncharacteristically high caliber power wise. Not only is the continents reputation near legendary but the T'lan Imass have apparently lost 2 entire clans there and continue to lose more.as they break themselves against the dwellers of Assail.

As a guess, I would say either the highest concentration of human high mages in the world reside there, or the general number of mages per population head is far higher than everywhere else meaning they have a huge number of mages overall of all levels.

It's D'rek's true and loyal worshippers on Assail. The T'lan Imass are like "what is this love thing you speak of" and the D'rekkies are like "Orgy time!" and then they have a magic orgy wherein they demonstrate to the T'lan Imass what unequivocal and very physical love is, and the T'lan's emotions are revived, and they all cry so much that they cry themselves a lake at their feet, wherein they find oblivion (like that T'lan with Karsa at the end of HoC).

I kinda love it when D'rek unleashes her nerd wrath, as I knew she would here. Sorry innocent bystanders, but someone's gotta be the kindling.

What about the Seguleh, though? Biding their time and all that. Imagine, the Seguleh march north and the teblor march south......

And Rake in the middle.

Well, then, it would be a good time to find another abondoned K'Chain Che'male sky city.

New Idea: Eres is Icarium's mother. She gave birth before becoming pregnant with Kettle, she can calm Icarium down from his rage, and Icarium is obsessed with time, and who else is time-aspected?

NAH! Instead, caught this on a reread: Mael midway through the novel jabbers to himself a large amount of complex archaic information, and drops upon

Thanks for the info, now I'm curious where Soldier and Knight of the Houses differ. Somewhere along the lines of sergeant and officer/champion of the faithful?

Here's what I'm thinking; to start with not all Houses have the position of Soldier or Knight and Knight is the same thing as Champion(It would seem). Soldier is someone that is assigned relatively small or not so important tasks while Knights/Champions are given the more important things plus they are the strongest warrior of their respective House. Anomander is the Knight of HHD and Osserc is the Champion of HHL, they are who the House turns to in the time of greatest threat. There is a question that needs to be asked with this explanation though, why is the Seguleh 2nd the soldier and Baudin the Knight? Interesting...
The world needs hypocrites...unfortunate but true.
