Okay, I totally see why Wert would recommend "The Ember Blade" now. It's a slow-starter, but it goes places. When is book 2 coming out?
I mean, some of the plot points were fairly predictable, and the ending is cheesy, but it's the good, fist-pump, "fuck, yeah!" epic-kind of cheesy.
And there's hints of pretty momentous stuff to come, if Wooding can avoid losing the plot.
I am genuinely impressed.
Gonna try "The Forgetting Moon" next, since I seem to be in a book-devouring mood again now that I'm locked up and can only bear to look at a computer screen for so long.
