This makes me wonder whether everybody uses the new content button or just clicks through their favorite forums instead.

Confession: I was on the forums for at LEAST nine years before I knew the New Content button was a thing...so I'm/ one of those dummies. That said, I HAVE used it for the last few years.

I've been on the forum since 2004 and I never knew there was a new content button.

Because if you just click new content you see every thread that's been posted new content in?

I just go straight to Other Literature. Occasionally if I'm bored, I'll click Forums and look at the Recent Topics Added and some of the top topics in the subs.

Garage sale buy with my Auntie and current read in progress of a book titled Secret Atlas by Micheal Stackpole. No thoughts yet but I think I will probably like it as usual with this author.

Someone should add some CSS to make the button more prominent on desktop (and bring it out of the dropdown menu on mobile).
It's my favorite button on the Citadel.

I remember Abyss telling about that button in 2014. It was a huge facepalm moment for me

Same. Sometimes I'll click back and check out Music/TV/Movies, but otherwise this is pretty much my home here.

Finished The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet and can't recommend it enough, particularly to anyone who likes Firefly. Really skillfully tells you just enough about each crew member to make you care about them and their experiences, and it's just a lovely book all round.
Started The Last Wish, as I want to read the Witcher books before I try the series.

Finished SIX OF CROWS by Bardugo and lurved it! Spectacular finish with just enough oomph of a cliffhanger to push me into starting CROOKED KINGDOM right away (already 40 pages in...man I love this author)!

Make sure you check out the sequels to Angry Planet. They're only tangentialy related, but flesh out Chambers' universe a lot. The second book in particular (A Closed and Common Orbit) is fantastic.

Yeah, there's three full novels and a novella.
Anyway, I finished The Black Hawks, good fun that, worth picking up if you're in the mood for a crew with attitude that isn't too grimdark.
Then I read Rosewater Redemption, the third and final book in the Rosewater series by Tade Thompson. That's a series everyone should read, a weird but awesome alien-invasion-type series set in Nigeria with a bunch of characters who are hardasses but probably won't go where you think they do. Third book steps it up a level, first two are really good but almost holding the stakes back a bit, this reallly leans into them.

What's the novella? The only other thing I've seen by her is TO BE TAUGHT, IF FORTUNATE, but that's set explicitly outside the Wayfarers universe.
