His wife forgave his killer within 2 weeks. Now even if this is the Christian thing to do should I be alarmed that she was able to supposedly to accomplish this amazing saintly feat within 2 weeks. To me that is inhuman rather than virtue and seems perfromative.

Tangential to the topic perhaps but I am left aghast at how quickly his funeral was turned into a political stunt.

Im also curious what the chrisitan philisophy is on this. I was taught that murder is such a heinous crime because the person whose forgiveness you would need to seek can no longer possibly provide it. God forgives, but so must the wronged party or at least you must aim to make restoration to earn their forgiveness.

Do you even know Catholics? Forgiveness is a core ethos of Catholicism. This is a very core belief in Catholics. Forgiveness. Totally in line with 95 percent of Catholics i have run across in real life.

For instance if someone steals from you ..one of the core tenants is to understand and then find ways to help the thief. That's a catholic belief. Some people have deluded ideas on what other religions are about.

I have been called idiot, dumb , pos etc etc. Ages of this. Remember I respect each and everyone here. I love reading the way some of you all think..however It's brutal as I'm a person on the other side. It hurts.

Wilful ignorance of the current US administration being incredibly fascistic and drawing endless parallels to the German political climate circa 1930-35 is unbecoming. But somehow, unsurprising.

Kirk never attempted to engage in civil discourse at any stage. What there was instead were staged 'debates' for content, a notable cowardice when it came to debating anyone who wasn't a student off of the street, racism, sexism, etc etc.

Your support of this man is extremely telling. And disappointing, given the work this forum is based around enjoyment of. Did the central themes just completely bypass you or what? What happened to turn you into this? Sad.
