I have to admit, I was only 7 when OCTOPUSSY came out, so a SMALL part of my enjoyment of that one is probably that I was 7 and found the title funny in a childish way, and the scantily clad silk-begowned woman was probably my first view of a Bond girl, and about 8 sequences that INDIANA JONES hoisted? I didn't actually see a Bond film in theatres til the next one (A VIEW TO A KILL), but for some reason that one is indelibly marked on my brain.


I like THUNDERBALL...but is NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN a better version of the story? I would argue yes...but my dad would kill me...he LOVES THUNDERBALL.

Funny i only raise Thunderball and Never Say Never because of the weird backstory. Neither are even remotely my favorite Bond.
Octopussy is funny because of how straight they play her name and even the silly tattoo in the movie, but that was part of the glory was was Roger Moore Bond... he could be dressed as a clown, trying to defuse a bomb, and sell it. Fall off a bridge into a pool, stab a snake to death with a pen, climb out like he meant to do that. Drive his car off the highway into the ocean and convert it into a sub, looks like he's going through the Tims Horton drive-thru, no big.
