None of my libraries here have the book and I'm not buying books at the moment so I guess I'm out. I'll follow the thread to see how people like it.

If you have an audible credit you could buy the earbook then return within a year if you don't think it's worth keeping.

If we only have one book, I'll recommend something old.

When was the last time you guys read Lord of the Rings? I've been thinking about do a reread since it's been around 20-25 years since I read the series.

Earbooks are not an option for me, mostly due to my hearing.

I would be fine with rereading LoTR. I remember much of the first book, but little of the rest. The Foundation series is another I haven't read in a long time and could be up to rereading.

You people should start reading Michele West for these books clubs. Erikson level greatness.

I've actually been working on a very slow paced reread of LotR based off a group read from Reddit. It's a 52 week pace, but I'd be down to swap to read with all of you instead.

You must read it again!

So is the the current consensus Strange Beasts of China and Fellowship of the Ring? Or does anyone want to submit a different choice instead of Strange Beasts and LotR?

Strange Beasts isn't available on Kindle but I've found a version on Tilted Axis Press I can buy for around 6 British pounds.

So, STRANGE BEASTS OF CHINA by Yan Ge... last call for objections, alternatives, silenced darts to the vulnerable points at eye and ear....
