Just thought I would toss this out there and see who is interested in restarting the book club this year.

I'm in if we stick to the formula from last year, where we have a big window to read the books

I would want the same. I can't do a book a week at the moment.

Cool. I would be up for Strange Beasts of China. I'll offer up another newish book "Tethered Mage" by Melissa Caruso. Last year was one newish book and something older. No real thoughts on the older novel right now.

I would say that I think Tethered Mage sounds a bit too YA/Orphan chosen one for my tastes based on the Amazon description.

Strange Beasts of China sounds like fun though. I'm always interested when the word Cryptozoologist pops up in a book. Doesn't seem to be a kindle version though, which is bizarre.

I own this book and the sequel but never have read them, so I'd be down with this. It doesn't bother me that it's YA.

STRANGE BEASTS OF CHINA looks cool, but the kindle edition is $20, so that's a no for me on that one.

It's under 250 pages and my library has the ebook, so I might have to do this one.

I actually agree with Quick Tidal. I'm not interested in paying hardcover prices for books by authors I have never read before. But, my local library has a copy. As long as I can snag that when it comes back in, I'm in for China.
