Not only that but Krypto being the bestest boy and draggin a wounded Superman back to Smallville by the cape.
So help me god if anything happens to that dog, I would not be averse to Clark going all John Wick on them.

fuck...plug...veins...
EDIT:
Things that go hard:
1. Lois interviewing him with unexpected hardball questions that cause him to react and say Silver Age Superman things. Amazing.
2. Krypto fighting Angela Spica (Engineer) in the fortress of solitude. GUD BOY!
3. The ramping up of the music cues.
4. Superman saying "Hey buddy, eyes up here" and then shooting up into the sky. The flying in this film so far looks DOPE.
5. David Cornswet and Rachel Brosnahan being given a chance to just ACT and not all splodey splodey.
6. Average people helping him up...I teared up, not going lie.
7. What appears to be Ultraman or perhaps Bizarro?
8. Hoult is doing a great Lex from what I can see.
9. Ma and Pa Kent are just average people, who look like Kansas farmers...and not stunt casted. SOLID.
9. The World Needs Superman. Nuff said.
This movie is 100% coming out right when we sort of need it as a planet. A realignment to doing good and being good.
Now everyone knows I'm an unapologetic fan of Snyder's MAN OF STEEL....but I would be lying if I didn't say this looks like the Superman I grew up on, and I think I'm really ready to return to this incarnation of Superman. The one that was on my bedsheets with the rest of the Superfriends when I was a boy.

I like Man of Steel, but I think of it as a very good superhero movie about someone with powers similar to Superman.
This... is a Superman movie.

I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you.

Pa Kent is played by Pruitt Taylor Vince, who's one of my favorite character actors. A unique and affecting presence in everything he's in. Rarely is he the lead, but there's a movie called Heavy he did with Liv Tyler in the mid-90s that is super slept on imo.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Based on how much they packed into the trailer, this movie has to be like 8 hours long...all those characters, jeeze.

Marvel and DC appear to be moving in a direction where instead of giving every new character their own introduction, they're just 'there', they've always been there, just roll w it. See Deadpool and Wolverine for examples. It's a surprising level of trust in the audience to 'get it' for companies that historically assumed people need Spidey or Bats' origin retold every single time.

I heard a former Superman didn't like that the new Superman movie was going to be "woke"...and why did I KNOW without looking that it would be conservative shitbag, Kevin Sorbo buddy Dean Fucking Cain with the lava hot take...
https://www.superher...s-gunn-too-woke
Amusingly, he comments about the removal of the whole American Way stuff from the Truth & Justice line...someone want to tell him that a Canadian invented Superman, orrrrrr? Better yet, that the line was not originally part of the narrative and wasnt added till the radio adaptation in the mid-40's? Nah, he'd rather be annoyed about pointless shit.
Anyone want to tell him (and there are many examples of this in Americas history) that the whole ass reason Somali refugees exist is because the US intervention in the 90's (and up until now) extended a civil war that would have been over in the 90's if it had been left to it's own devices..the US involvement not only prolonged shit for years, but gave refugees a place to want to go to get away from the conflict. Don't want refugees from foreign countries in your country Dean? THEN STOP ELECTING WARMONGERS WHO GET INVOLVED IN OTHER COUNTRIES PROBLEMS....fuck me. Also I'd love for him to find me a Somali immigrant who wants to "get rid of the rules in the US and replace them with Somali rules"....that shit doesn't happen, it's just a lie he's been fed to hate immigrants.
--------
On the bright side, I have tickets for the whole family to see the movie on Sunday. WOOT! Exciting.

I don’t think is a great idea. I think if you want to create a new character, go ahead and do that. But for me, Superman has always stood for ‘truth, justice, and the American way’ — and the American way is tremendously immigrant friendly. But there are rules,” Cain explained. “You can’t come in saying, ‘I want to get rid of all the rules in America because I wanted to be more like Somalia.’ Well, that doesn’t work, because you had to leave Somalia to come here — so it doesn’t make any sense.

Someone that scared of change shouldn't have gotten the Wayne Newton special from his plastic surgeon.
Anyway, even on Lois & Clark they didn't say "truth, justice, and the American way", they just said "truth and justice".
