Pretty sure Kalor used a combination of alchemy, sorcery and leftover KC/KN machines for power.

It's not really clear exactly how he nuked his continent, but it did seem clear the deahts of millions at his hands were the fuel for the curses on the EGs.

Who knows - maybe he intended the deaths to push him into ascension, but the EGs stopped that with their curse.

It would probably be possible for him to ascend by the deaths of all his subjects... I shudder to think what might have happened had he ascended... *shudders to think what might have happened if Kallor had ascended*

i expect he would continue his scheming, much like ol' kellenved has done. i wonder where the ambitions of these kind of guys end, what more could you want once you are a god?

I think Kallor only has the power now to disrupt the story i.e. killing Wiskyjack (wipes away tear). He CANT play a major role or else he will loose everything again. What could he possibly hope to achieve? What is he trying to do?

I recon he is trying to destroy magic, we saw in MoI that he hates magic. Now he has teamed up with the CG who is hell bent on reaking havoc on the warrens

I can't wait til High Mage Quick Ben meets him again... the scene in MOI where QB makes a hole underneath him is pure hilarious genius!! I think it will be QB who captures him and Rake who pwns him with Dragnipur!

aren't Korlat and her bro on the case as we speak? they did vow to hunt him down and destroy him after coral and....... whiskeyjack (sorry but it still hurts *sniff*) so two huge black dragons tearing him limb from limb sounds about right to me!

I don't know that it is going to take that long... It is just a guess... for starts, I'm not sure Rake is in the next book (

) and I dunno anything about the rest... However I am fairly sure he will be in the last book... he has to be... he is too important... Therefore I think it will happen either at the end of book 9 or at the beginning of book 10...

There is a lot of evidence to point to it happening. Draconus, the Sister of Cold Nights, and Paran are chatting in MOI and they talk about how Dragnipur needs to be broken. Paran accepts it with a weary sigh, iirc.
