Probably not worth doing compared to just investing the TG elsewhere in round 1, but the fact that it's even possible makes it tantalizing

On forums most seem to value relic fragments at around 2TG, but I guess it depends on how much you want it, how likely it is you will get another, and how willing others are to sell

Yeah, even if they agree on the value I doubt Morgoth or IH would be willing to sell yet when they still have other hazardous planets nearby that might uncover more fragments for them.

We are not. There is no such thing as a discard pile of secret objectives. Each time an SO gets discarded it is put back in the draw pile and the pile is shuffled.

Where does it say that? There's certainly a SO discard pile in the TTS mod. It doesn't really matter until you get near the end of the deck, but we always have to be careful about drawing in order at that point to ensure that someone who drew first gets what's left in the deck rather than getting something from the discard pile that has been shuffled back in.
