Yeah, your read sounds right to me.

I'm unlikely to swap out 7 commodities for other players for free, and if I'm doing 1:1 commodity swaps Mahact is typically going to be last in the priority order unless I've got a reason otherwise. In any case, glueing requirements of swapping out 7 commodities onto a deal that is currently just getting me 1 TG more than playing my agent on myself probably is bit too much of an extra ask. Khell being able to sabotage things just makes even more reason I don't need to join into this.

I need to reread the cabal agent. It didnt seen that bad as it's taking from the reinforcements. And 6 commodities for 7 isn't that big a deal either. I must be missing something. IH with my deal you gain 4 otherwise you get 1. That seems like a much better deal for you.

Yeah I reread the Cabal agent. I get a free commodity conversion and he gets to capture at most a carrier. Not sure how the capture mechanic works as I never bothered to figure out the Titan sleeper mechanic either but if my ships are being captured I might want to figure out how it works. So I get 6 trade goods right away. And with the Hacan always refreshing their commodities the cabal can... oh. Man am I slow sometimes. I guess I do need to figure out the Cabal mechanic

Khell if I refresh your commodities will you use your agent on me instead of Drek? You net out 1 more resource this way

Yes, you probably should, but the concern here is that when you setup a deal based on swapping out commodities Khell might just go ahead and turn one person in that trade's commodities into TG before the deal happens, which may disrupt the trade altogether and leave the other player left in the dust.

For simple deals, probably not a big deal, probably the player whose commodities got turned will own up to their side with their TGs anyway. But it makes these big convoluted 3-player multi-stage deals at risk to falling apart unevenly.

I’ve had a quick read through the thread but am driving for a couple of hours now so won’t respond properly until later tonight.

You are absolutely right that I immediately thought about disrupting trades with my agent after I chose Cabal. But I’m not going to do it just to be an asshole. So if something is worked out which sounds beneficial to me also, I won’t disrupt.

I saw your offer to me as well D’rek. I’ll reply when I get back. I’m not immediately opposed, but I have to think about it a bit.

Twelve the offer of one TG once we can trade or a free refresh still stands if you change your mind.

If you want me to not trade with d'rek you'll need to give me and tatts a free refresh so I can swap out my commodities otherwise I get no benefit (tatts I'm assuming a free refresh will make you amenable to swapping out my commodities?).

This was before I even knew about the Cabal agent. I understand the issue now. I'm waiting to hear back from Khell about my proposal. With his agent he will want to use it and will most likely want to take a dread from D'rek. If he does then I'm more likely willing to refresh someone else but it will more likely be Tapper as he is the most likely person I can exchange commodities with. If you can figure out a way for us to neighbor this round then I'd be willing to pick you for a commodities swap of some sort.

I thought it odd that the Baroney had 3 commodities as Tapper has listed in his game post so I looked it up and he should have listed 2 instead. Man so many players with piss poor commodities this game and then there is the Hacan.

Wait you've gone from I can't give anyone a refresh because my neighbors are scary to all my neighbors are potentially getting refreshes
