So, from my reading of the rules, there’s nothing specifically that prevents me from using my commander defensively and adding a mech from Primor to this battle. However, if that would be the case I could technically also join other battles in a three way fight, so I assume the intent is that I can only do it offensively.

I'm listening. My thoughts are a bit haphazard here so bear with me.
Agenda; Vortex, Mallice, Cormund, Leadership, Carrier, Tg's, Votes, Trade PN. Borders.
I wanted to discuss borders earlier in the game but you gave a nonchalant reply that was a bit wishy washy. So let us establish them now.
You don't use Vortex on me.
Mallice was my intention and I can agree to that.
You get to have Cormund.
You pop leadership on your next turn. D'rek already taken Twelve's home system and I would prefer to activate my home system to build,
You can keep my carrier.
You give me 5 TG's and your trade PN. In return I will give you an agreed amount of votes on the upcoming agendas.
I don't think you would go for this deal, and given that it is not a nice way to deal with neighbours I doubt you would stick to it anyway.
Honestly, I think it'd be more fun to attack Lodor and it would push me towards the construction PO. Obviously it'll put a dent in your plans which is an unfortunate bonus.
Most seems agreeable, but playing Leadership is a sticking point. Not just because I don't think D'rek would go for it, but because there's no guarantee that you wouldn't then just attack me in Lodor anyway. Think about it, I agree to this, give you all my stuff, you take Mallice or build in your home system, I pop Leadership, and then you use Leadership to just attack me anyway.
No if this deal goes ahead and you keep your end of the bargain then I'd keep mine. From here on it would be what's yours is yours and what's mine is mine. If there would be further way to strengthen the bond then I am open to options.
I'd move into Mallice then build in my home system and more than likely pass.
What IH said earlier about me leaving a lot to trust. I know you have integrity and are good for your word.
As you say, I’m good for my word, and my first deal was with D’rek to not play Leadership yet, so how would you be able to trust my word if I break it with D’rek first? I’m willing to swap around, and give you my votes for an agenda rather than you giving me yours as some recompense for not playing Leadership earlier?
Twelve has found out a way to circumvent the stall so see what drek says about leadership stall now?
Otherwise I won't be able to take Mallice AND build this round.
It'd be a waste of the resources I've saved up.
I'll make my move in the morning. Its 50 50 at the moment.

Yeah, the rules specifically say at that step of the tactical action that it is the active player who commits ground forces.

He said the cost was 9 trade goods. I trust IH to honor the deal. I'd be okay with him selling the pns even to you D'rek after I retake my homeworld. He could make a decent profit off them for sure. The whole purpose of the trade is for him to get his tgs and me tech and stall. But I wanted to make sure we are both on the same page before I make my move so there is no misunderstanding.
Well regardless of how IH interpreted the initial deal I'm fairly certain we are close enough to an agreement that I will go through with the first part of it and we can work out the rest before his next turn. I'll go ahead and post my move.
As d'rek said 9tg straight up is very different to this very complex deal, as I'm effectively washing your commodities and loaning you a stall.
If we are doing that I want 7tg plus your ceasefire and racial, I'll only give you my racial on my turn.
If you pay off the debt promptly I won't sell your ceasefire to d'rek.

I am not so sure yet that he will actually pull that off. IH has not yet agreed to the deal so it's not settled. Furthermore, from the way Twelve phrased it, it seemed like he needed both IH to agree to his deal so he can stall with Fires of the Gashlai *and* Khell to play Leadership within 2 turns, so even if Twelve gets Fires of the Gashlai from IH that's not necessarily a complete circumvention of the Leadership stall yet.
Plus it would still be advantageous for me if he is forced to play Predctive Intelligence and move a token out of the fleet pool.

Since you've passed me your commodities (and you can't wash them) regardless of what else happens I'll hold them as part payment towards the requested 9TG for warsuns.

It would be pretty funny to get the Mahact ceasefire from IH and then use my mech ability to peacefully sell Twelve back his home planet.

You were getting 2 of my PNs regardless. I just wanted to let you know that I was fully trying to pay just in TGs unless you were willing to accept 1 of them as the balance of payment owed and do as you wish after I took my homeworld back. Otherwise they were collateral and you could do as you wished with them if I couldn't pay the debt in a timely enough manner. But from this post it sounds like you are accepting 7 TGs and 2 PNs for your racial because of the multiple steps to pay it off. If that is what it is there won't be much I can do about it now. I'm committed now.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

If it comes to that and it gets you off my back for the rest of the game I would strongly consider it. Let's see how my fight with Morgoth goes first. Is it weird that I want a number of my soldiers to die in taking the planet? What a waste of the auto regen ability though. You had to hit me in the very narrow window I was vulnerable didn't you? I was expecting all of my dead units to respawn back on my homeworld to reinforce it. That damn action card really messed things up.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

What happens to those dead units, there is no specific wording saying they get discarded.

Tatts, you could use your last move to build in your home system, so not wasting resources, and then take Mallice next round (even exhausted, you’ll still get the 2TG, which you wouldn’t this round anyway as I’ve already used it). It’s not like I’m going to do anything in the meantime to try and keep Mallice as you’ll be keeping that dread fleet on my doorstep.

I did some research earlier. If they die and I dont hold any planets in my homeworld by the start of my next turn they are just dead.

At least I have 4 more resources to send to IH now.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Wow. That was a 98 percent chance of a twelve victory at the start of that fight.

What are the odds I lose 2 battles where the odds of me winning were 95% and up? Pretty Freaking astronomically small. Especially with the sample size we have.
