Which races have not been tried yet? I am liking the look of the Nomad, it seems to be all about the flagship that race
Cabal, Nomad, and Mahact are the new expansion races that no one has played yet. (As last pick, if no one else picks Nomad or Mahact I will take them)
Yin and Sardakk have also hardly ever been played in our forum games - I think Sardakk was only ever picked in the very first game and Yin only ever picked in one of the games that didn't finish?
Letnev, Nekro, and Xxcha feel like they haven't been picked much here either.
I believe I have won as the Yin. In fact I think races beginning with Y have a near 100% win rate on our forum games. The only times yssaril and yin have been played that i recall they have won.
Oh yeeeeeaaaaahhhhh

(Though that's a bit deceptive since all 4 Winnu picks are from Twelve, and 3 of the 5 Sol picks were Tatts )

I'm definitely not playing Winnu this game
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Well someone had to end up there! Bold of you Twelve but I like the idea of the last winner being in the "king of the hill" position like that!

I wanted to not be Winnu so what better motivation to try something else than through me into an almost guaranteed aggressive position.

Blend, could I request BLOOD RED for my faction colour, please? For, uhm, no reason.

You don't think Mahact would get overwhelmed there? Their abilities are all late-game stuff, I feel like they'd get smashed in the early game. Though having a green tech and blue tech skips is quite nice for them. No good planet to use Bio-Stims on there, either.
Mountain Fortress/#5 seems somewhat good for Mahact with the green/blue and resources, but only 2 neighbours to get tokens off of and again no good bio-stims planet, either.

The Mahact are very aggressive, and can have huge fleets with other players command tokens. Some of their abilities look really cool. I would not know how to play them, you have to win a battle against someone to gain their fleet token. Then you can use their commander if unlocked. If Twelve goes them it'll be good to see him fend you all off.
Apt is the only one who reads this. Apt is nice.

And this is why I'm looking at other races now. Argent I think would be killer here.

*Can* have huge fleets and *can* get those abilities, but like you say they have to WIN to get those first. They do start with a dreadnought, sure, but with 3 different neighbours coming to take your planets I think you'll be hard-pressed to win more than 1 battle at a time, while getting pounced on on the other sides. I see the Mahact as being more like starting out defensive and picking off loose destroyers when they can, and only once a few rounds have passed and they can build a big fleet do they go really offensive. They do want lots of neighbours for later, but starting out with a huge target on their back and no defensible chokepoints to put all their ships into is probably too much I think?
Opposite would be like Letnev where you start off with the 2 extra fleet supply and the 6 resource homeworld right off the bat - they can fight big fights right from the start.
