Been a bit of a Fromsoft junkie since Mal first recommended Demons Souls way back.

Day one buy for me for sure.

for me too, if I've managed to get a PS5 by that point. This just seems to be more of all the stuff I love in From Software games, though I am a little worried about the open world thing.

See the open world stuff and the suggestion that this may be the "easiest" souls game yet, has me hopeful.

ALL I WANT is for them to put a checkpoint at the boss rooms. That's all I need. It would minimize the tedium with at least 40%.

Looks like there will be combat on your mount. Which was nice to see, because my initial feelings were that the horse was just going to essentially be a transportation mechanism from one area to another (sort of like Shadow of the Colossus I guess). Hence, giving an impression of an open world, but not really.

More leaked game play. Nothing big on display, but I think it drives home the open world aspect. Getting Dark Souls like game with open world is pretty novel I think.

There were only a few bad runs to DS1 and DS2 bosses that I recall.

Capra Demon, Bed of Chaos, Blue Smelter Demon, Lud and Zallen, Sir Alonne. Won't comment on DS3, think I got bored and never finished it heh.

Lud and Zallen by far the worst. I just ended up just equipping all stamina boosting stuff and just running for like 3 minutes or something through that god damn blizzard being chased by Thor infused reindeer. Then change back to actual fighting gear. EVERYTIME! Just to get slapped by them damn pussycats. . .
