Agreed, Spear's dad looked more throwback than the rest of their people, strongly suggesting Spear was mixed blood of different lines of evolving human

Godsdammit the levels of storytelling they worked into this are wild.

May have re-watched the finale again.

....and of course the Cannibal from the Theory episode totally had the same visual as Spear with a more 'evil' head/face.
