Looks like Karsa riding about on a Che'malle.
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

S2, 3 eps in

MILD SPOILERS
SPOILERS
ARGH
GRRR
YAAAAAAA
SPOILERS

1 - Great start, i love that they gave us an entirely predictable episode, right down to the megalodon, yet didn't diminish the impact at all. The viewer knows, with certainty, almost exactly what's coming next, yet they still drop each story beat like a hammer. Great surfing to battle scene, funny outcome.

2 - k was NOT expecting a Fang love story, and the 'rivalry' between Red and Spear... again, zero dialogue, but the story is clear right down to Fang's conflicting feelings (yes the dwarf trex has feelings) between her bestie and new dude.

3 - The fight w the grizzly mounted vikings was so damn good. They come in all elite warriors on battle bears with weapons and helmets and red glowing eyes and oh hey that only took about 2 minutes and 2 moves. I love that Spear almost only ever hops on Fang to fight (ie never just to ride so he doesn't have to use his feet) and every time he does it is EPIC. And now... sword!

They keep doing this thing where Spear encounters something completely new, zoom in on his eyes, wide round in confusion or wonder, then his expression narrows and his brow comes down and the viewer knows the dinoshit is about to hit the jurassic fan. AGAIN.

Also, the way Spear and Fang now fluidly back each other up in fights, and mirror 'expressions' and body language other times... i don't care what they are paying the storyboard artists and animators it is not enough THIS SHOW IS STUNNING.

Ep 4, Red Mist - holy fnck. That battle was like Vikings + Friday the 13th + some crazy wuxiastabbyfeste.

Ep 5, Primal something something ‐ I have zero issue w the idea of the ep, it was well done, but the conclusion seems to suggest that Spear should lose in the end which was a weird note to end on.

EP 6, Vidarr ‐ HOLY FUCK.
Also if anything happens to
Spoiler
I am going to lose my mind. ...more than I usually do for an episode. This is now the one and only show where I shout at the tv.

7... i was not prepared for the cuteness that started this ep.

I was also not prepared for the thing that happened when the 'Egyptians' were attacking. I may have yelled "NO!" at the tv.

I wonder why Satan has it in for them... the coven back in S1 or something else?

Love the interaction between Spear and the giant dude.

...and the thing against the 'Sumerian s'... Holy. Fncking. Fnck.

Ep8 - How.
The FUCK.
Did all of THAT.
Happen in 22 minutes???
HOW?

The three episodes leading up to the final - The Colossaeus, The Colossaeus Part II, The Colossaeus Part III.

So brutal the name needs the Death/Black metal logo treatment.

H-O-L-Y S-H-I-T! ep. 10 "Echoes of Eternity."

What-tha-what-tha-fnk! Like duuuuuuuuuuude!

I loved it! I know there will be some criticism that the confrontation could have extended a little bit longer (I'm sure some wanted to see a They Live type battle a la Roddy Piper and Keith David) but oh my, I found it supremely satisfying and I thought it hit all of the right notes of a perfect fight and comfortably settled in a groove that kept me on the edge of my seat. Tartakovsky is a mad genius.

And then what happens afterwords!
Spoiler

I've read that is it. Series complete. Not sure if I wholly believe that (cause internuts), but if so, man what a way to end it. But also, DAMN!, I would love to see in continue based on *shhhh spoilers!

Several of the episodes where pretty brilliant but the horror of the two "viking village" episodes where pretty damn incredible for an animated cartoon.

Heard rumors that we'll get more but different following the last scene.

Not sure how much importance I lend it, but scanning a reddit, there seems to have been emphasis on the clash between stone age and iron age. It's a thing, no denying it.
Spoiler

It all started so calmly on the ocean and the beginning of an odyssey. . . Mira.

Spoiler

Fang has a go to move. *chomp

Stone Age v Bronze Age was a thing, Neanderthal v erectus was another, it's all there with a dose of dinosaurs just to keep it interesting. That opening flashback to Spear's youth was fairly significant (and IN-SANE).

The villagers/Vikings/Picts had a bunch of Mira's people locked down in a house when Spear found them - it was the same people. The biggest beard'iest ones were their full grown raider warrior types.
