Frankly D'rek has a scary economy and needs to be pruned back. Attacking her and forcing her to lose planets will make it hard for her to gain a whole lot of trade goods going forward.
Well, if you and Tatts are both voting FOR then Blend/IH will probably make a deal to both vote for one of them for Minister and I won't get it anyway. But that's fine, I'm happy enough with that result as long as Ixthian goes FOR.

I am definitely waiting for my action card draw to put in my votes, so will certainly discuss further at that point should I need to.

I'm just going to have to come to terms with the fact that self-vote suiciding will forever be referred to as "pulling a JPK" now, aren't I? ~ JPK

I do not have all the votes yet, still lacking the final choices from three players.

Blend said he was waiting on AC but I just thought.
He could have placed a provisional, vote this way but if I receive any action cards that affect agenda phase voting then let me review before posting.
Hindsight is a bitch, I should have suggested that last night.

Okay Blend, if you haven't voted then maybe we can manipulate votes so that the Xinthian artifact gets voted for an you get something in return.
How about this.
You vote all your votes on the other agenda for you and I'll vote 6 of my votes on there for you.
Both Twelve and I shove our votes on FOR for the other agenda.
That'd be
17 votes on For on Xinthian
12 votes against
18 votes Blend on the Minister
17 votes Drek on the Minister
Twelve you get the possibility of 2 techs or a shot at Rex with Saar decimated.

IF your vote count in the game thread is correct, IH and I have 24 votes, while you and Twelve have 23, so IH and I can vote AGAINST on Ixthian and win, so if you and Twelve don't want Drek to have Minister, you should vote against her yourselves.
Having Minister of Exploration on me isn't that useful. I've done more or less what I intend to do in terms of spreading out for now, I expect I'm about to spend a round losing most of what I've just gained, then the following round trying to spread out again.
So I'm still leaning towards ensuring Ixthian goes against to keep my tech lead.
IH - thoughts?

You are going to have tech lead regardless. I'll just take that as a no. I hope you know what you are doing. IH must be loving your kind heart right now.

Yes, but right now if the 2 techs of 2 colours PO flips, I'm the only one who meets it.
If everyone gets 2 free techs, everyone else meets it.
Whereas if it goes AGAINST, only I meet it, and whoever decides to take technology and IH can gain it during next round.
I'm not interested in potentially giving EVERYONE a free VP that only I current qualify for.

That's not even mentioning if the 2 techs of 4 colours 2VP PO flips.

Also, my votes will not be placed until I see the new PO, and I'd very much like to hear IH and Twelve's thoughts.

We don't see the new PO until start of strategy phase. You're saying the guy with a monstrous fleet sat on MR has the ability to meet the same tech objectives as you but that's okay. The same guy who doesn't need a home system to score. Who has won 3 of the forum games. Who can grab politics and Imperial to win with this sort of scenario your saying.
Its 5050 on the tech or ships but if it hits ships no one gets tech and the one who can meet the objective with you will be hurt. If its tech then there are 2 other objectives which are scorable so doesn't matter too much.

Thank you kindly Mr. Modgod!
So with that PO flip, I'm more likely to be convinced of going FOR on Ixthian.
I'd still like to hear from IH first, though.

The new PO gets revealed at the beginning of agenda phase. In a normal game it would happen in status phase, we delay it a bit in this because of the forum way of doing things.
