Hanas not even knowing Barghst is VPI is exactly the type of thing that I would be looking out for in fishing out scum.

Scum aren’t bothered in figuring out if someone is VPI or not by using deductive logic, so aren’t a tune to it unless people say and agree it allot on thread.. I purposely didn’t want to explain that barg had to be Vpi and was looking for that kind of comment. Aaaai.

Honestly when Hanas suddenly voted for me after I had switched away from their train, I was like what the actual fuck, it seemed SO weird. I don't have a good explanation why that didn't make me be more sure of him being scum, but my confidence definitely took a hit when i was so off the wall wrong before in the game. Maybe if I hadn't been so unfocused for the last week; but there's a lot you can think of in hindsight, and it is what it is. That's the thing with this game - inno is more likely to 'seem' like scum, because innos doesn't feel the need to be sneaky in the same way. So you want to look at someone that literally has no footprint, but instead you get paranoid when someone stares at you the wrong way. It's easy to get caught up in words, when you in fact should be looking at patterns and actions. Still, you're gonna miss the mark a lot, even if you do everything right, because mind reading hasn't been invented yet.

honestly, the best way to defend as inno is to figure out what the person making the case against you is basing their case on and then take that argument apart in a matter that makes other people think the one accusing you is either stupid, or malicious (scum). And then move on and make a case on someone else.

Not gettting my hopes up. I made this exact case and conclusion day two already about Hanas and it got ignored. (Mostly because you came on and derailed the narrative of the thread but that’s another story entirely ...hehehe )

Allot of the time I will ignore stuff directed at me as RI. Mostly because it’s usually baseless claims and people can see for themself that it is such.

Like in this game I got called a symp constantly but there was never an actual case made to reply to...so I simply ignored the claims and asked for a case or STFU.

It’s pretty hard to prove something that is not true, to be true. Not without twisting facts or strawmanning an argument and creating an imaginary scenario.

That’s also why I wanted people to make cases, because unlike Town , Scum have to make cases that they KNOW are bullshit. And that ain’t easy.
Hence why Hanas has not really made a case against anyone the entire game.

In some cases yes, but sometimes there is no case behind it, and all you've got is either ignore or call them stupid. And that's hard call to do if you already have a train on you. That's why I don't put as much weight on people getting frustrated when they're voted on - innos are much more likely to get frustrated and flustered than scum, because inno know they didn't do anything scummy. What you want to look for is inconsistencies, not people defending themselves. It's one of my gripes with mafia, that you can't even defend yourself, because then you'll get lynched.

In fact, sometimes I start trouble with players just to find out who would get frustrated easily - that I did that this game and still thought they were scum was completely my bad - I hadn't thought the strategy out completely, I just went with it haha.

This is exactly what I'm talking about - hanas play was way too smooth and so people don't feel confident about lynching them - in fact that's the players town should go after, the smooth ones. You can learn from every game. LOL
