The tanno song actually began before parans blessing. they had already ascended when paran blessed the,. and since he is master of the deck his blessing would seem to ensure them a place in the deck

I thought it was a combination of both... The Tanno song provided the way for them to ascend and Parans blessing finished it off, as it were.

The spiritwalker song had the intention of making the Birgerburner's Ascend, that was fairly obvious from Kimloc's musing as to whether an "entire regiment could ascend" or not. But whether it would have occured without Paran's blessing as well, or if that merely expedited things or what not we'll never really know.

Paran's blessing probably ensured that the Bridgeburners are now aspected to *him* We know this coz the Master of the deck card shows the bridgeburners in the background.

That too, on the old forum when we had access to the FAQ I updated the bloody thing to reflect properly the US release dates and release date of Bonehunters. But we still got like a billion threads popping up every 2days asking
"oh does anyone know if these books are being released in the US. I've only seen DG out, but then when I check online there's 5!! PLEASE HELP!"

"so...does anyone know when BH is out? I've searched the entire forum and haven't found anything" ...when clearly there are 5 threads asking the samething in the Bonehunters forum...

So yes...I doubt anyone actually READS the damn thing. But I see Cadz was kind enough to update the FAQ after yelling at me on the old forum for being lazy:P

i remember posting such a thread, asking if bonehunters was released. i didnt check in the bonehunters forum because it was setup the same as the other books, so i thought it had been released and that the forum would be filled with spoilers. i hate spoilers with a passion, and so i didnt check in.

hmm.. not sure bout that rather that the thing with oppon probably brought Paran into the Azath's attention. Not to mention the whole 'walking inside the sword' thing and the hounds blood. i think the azath couldn't help but notice him.

On the other hand all these things could have been setup by the azath. Weve seen that there are more subtle forms of control within the malazan world.
