Wish I could claim credit for this one, but I saw it elsewhere:

Craig David has been chosen to join Team GB at the Olympics, specifically the archery team. His role is to be the bow selecter...

I don't like archery. The modern bows look ridiculous. I think they should have to make their own.

Well done Canada! Now if only the Matildas can come back from 1-0 down against Sweden. Should be 1-1 but for a fucking atrocious referee. :realmad:

I didn't think Sweden were the bribey types, but there you have it ... :p

This I would watch. Full process across ten days from selecting their tree.

What they use now barely look like bows.

Yay, Ukraine got a gold from wrestling. And a second silver, as well.

Disappointing that a Uki swimmer set an Olympic Record for 800m freestyle in his qualifying heat, but wasn't able to repeat it in the final and only got bronze. And then he came in second for 1500m.

Considering this is the smallest ever Ukrainian contingent at the Olympics, 11 medals (so far) isn't terrible. With all the crap going on back home, sports is an afterthought for the government and everything is going downhill. Football's the only exception because it's a prestige thing for oligarchs to own successful football clubs, and you don't get the same level of private sponsorship in other sports.
