Oh and @twelve I have 6 votes to call in, I believe the action card policy falls under our agreement, so will likely be calling votes in for that

Well shit.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Alternatively, Twelve, you could just pay Xxcha to Quash it.

Just to note you can only vote one way on a particular agenda, so voting for me would lock twelve out of voting for you.

Jazz I'll vote 3 on rex for 4 on me for minister of policy.

Well fuck

?

Both agendas are a "elect player" / "elect planet". Basically means my ability is impossible to succeed.

Isn't Mec Rex a cert in terms of hampering the Arborec?

Any chance anyone have any other targets other than voting Rex for the Disarmament agenda?

And as D'rek pointed out I should also clarify that the other planet besides Rex not being one of my planets.

IH are you wanting to cash in my votes? This is kind of an important vote for me so I would like to push it to next agenda phase if that is okay. Also what are your thoughts on the Disarmament agenda?

There aren't to many policies which give a direct benefit to one player, so no sorry I doubt there will be another policy that benefits me as much in the next few phases.

And honestly I can't see any way you can persuade people to leave you alone on rex, everyone knows how easy it would be for arborec to hold if they keep it for another turn or two. If you can give me a good reason though I'll consider it.

I would like to nominate myself for the law policy action card thingy. As I only receive one action card usually, so this is of minimal impact compared to the neural motivator races.

If you convert a commodity for me I'll vote 1 vote your way.

Sure, will you accept one invisible commodity for yours? I know my current total says zero, but I swear, it's just invisible!

You have 6 TG's, so 1 of my commodities, for 1 of your TG's. If you are nice enough to do that then i'll send a vote your way.

Uh, no I don't? I'm Letnev, who do you think I am?

Your game post ha ha, but it says Creuss. Doh.

If nobody matches or counteroffers by the time voting starts, agreed.

@twelve:

Give me your votes for Minister of Law and I won’t vote for MR/Nestphar.

How does this prevent everyone else from voting for one of my planets then? And I wont have my 14 votes to make it even harder to pass against me?

As you can see, the votes are already being split towards other targets and the minister of law agenda, so it does help. It seems you're already going to be giving 6 votes to IH, so I would need at least your remainng 8 votes and another 3 from others to overcome IH, should he put all his votes on the action card agenda.

And again I would like to remind everyone that IH already has Neural Motivator and so would get 3 action cards per phase.

Except now The mindset is offering a bounty to the player that puts the most votes towards Me for Disarmament and the Yin are calling in my votes for the other objective leaving me essentially 8 to prevent it. Not too hard to over come.

I'm late getting to work. Mondays are pretty busy for me but I'll try and pop one to further the discussion.

Jazz there may be a way for you to get the trade goods and allow you some piece of mind that I wount be unmovable from Rex but it would be a super last resort option.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

I wouldn't mind having this on my own home system (0.0.0), as that's 4tgs in the pocket and those infantry are rebuilt soon enough.

However, 4 arborec infantry on Mecatol is essentially a space dock, and while I applaud you on your speed to get there and fortify, it poses a threat to the galaxy if you get another round or 2 to double or quintuple those numbers.

The last game I've played with an Arborec on Mecatol, they ended up with 34 infantry on it! All because I was too trusting and gave them a chance to leave, which they used instead to reinforce. Now we get a unique opportunity to nip the plants in the bud, if you will, and while some players are already trying get paid by you to maybe prevent this outcome... I wouldn't count on it. You're already leading points-wise quite a bit, support swapped on one side and Nekro stating their intentions are not to do anything about you in the immediate future.

For my part I only have 4 paltry votes, but I will give them to anyone (for Minister of Policy) who will vote 3 or more on Mecatol for Disarmament. Since I'm fairly low initiative, I'll also reveal I plan to place a Trade Rider on Mecatol, and will share the profits with whoever ends up putting the most votes on Mecatol too.

And what is the profit split share? :)

For the new players, typically our agenda phase lasts a couple of days while everyone comes on to have their say and negotiate.

Yes, so once the status phase has been completed and I announce that it is time for the agenda phase, I usually give everyone a couple of days to finalize deals and discussions about how they want to vote, then provide their votes to me via their game PM (final votes are revealed publicly, but not until everyone has voted). Once I have received everyone's votes (sometimes it happens within a few hours of the agenda phase starting, sometimes it takes a couple of days) I will post a finalized vote count on thread and announce the results of the agenda phase and we will move on to the Round 3 Strategy Phase.

As far as I can see, if twelve is unsuccessful in convincing others to vote with him on another location, then we only need 9 votes on MR to get it through (if twelve is giving 6 to IH for the other agenda).

Basically, what I'm saying is that most of your votes should head in my direction for the Minister of Law agenda if you don't want to be seen as condoning Yin terrorism in the galaxy :)

Since by calling my votes in from twelve and putting 3 of my own votes on rex I'm effectively providing 15 votes to your desired outcome I'd like to think that should be hard to beat.

If (and it is most certainly an if) I put my nekro pick on MR, though, you can bet for sure someone will try to hold back their votes for MR thinking there'll surely be enough on it without them and not wanting me to get a certain tech pick from them.

Alternatively, IH, if you don't fight me for the agenda, then I'm happy to let you have that 3-planet system and not contest for it in any way, which I think the potential was building up.

The Yin are a peaceful cu...religion.

The Yin do not seek aggression versus the other races, and are ill suited for such aggression unlike the letnev, the yins abilities are more suited for defence.

This is of interest to the Yin, we always seek fresh ground for our brethren. Let us see how the status phase plays out.

The Yin are curious as to where the let nev will go however if the 3 planet system is removed from their grasp.

Yeah, that was my fault - I moved some posts around cause a few people had acted before Twelve took his turn and I wanted the posts to be in actual initiative order, so rather than delete and repost all the posts, I just moved them into other people's posts.

Sorry about that!
