Though I guess Tapper has said he'd be happy to vote AGAINST in exchange for Tatts' votes on FOR on the first agenda... So that changes the math a little.

Tapper I will place all my votes on For for the first agenda, hoping you'll go against on the second. We'll see what happens.
Apt is the only one who reads this. Apt is nice.

Hmmm, let's do the math on that...
If you and I vote FOR on the first agenda, and Nom votes AGAINST, then Twelve votes FOR on the second agenda, and Tapper votes AGAINST, we would be here:
First agenda - 16 votes FOR, 11 votes AGAINST
Second agenda - 10 votes FOR, 8 votes AGAINST
In this case, Drek could sway either of the votes to go whichever way she wants...
So yeah, basically it will all likely come down to whatever Drek decides she wants to do.

I dunno what I'm gonna vote, but when I do figure it out I'm still not going to tell you all, so no sense waiting on me. All options are bad.

To be fair Twelve you have a good deal, you could end up with a VP, your war sun in tact and 2 technologies. That'd be some agenda phase for you.

Well this is me. My luck isn't very good when it comes to this game. I'm still salty about D'rek's carrier last game.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Another quick question regards the first agenda.
If FOR wins, and the roll is a 1-5, it says we destroy 3 units in each system surrounding MR.
I assume those units will be chosen at random? I ask because Tapper and I both have units in Starpoint/New Albion - does that mean we both lose 3 units in that system, or just 3 units chosen randomly amongst all the units in that system? Doesn't really matter for anyone else.

I would presume you have the choice which units die, when units are destroyed players usually choose which units are destroyed/where hits are targeted. There is no mechanism for randomly selecting units to be hit/destroyed.

So then how do you decide whose units die in a system that has two players' units?

I looked it up and our text is wrong. The real agenda text is:
FOR: The speaker rolls 1 die. If the result is 6-10, each player may research 2 technologies. If the result is 1-5, destroy all units in Mecatol Rex's system, and each player with units in systems adjacent to Mecatol Rex's system destroys 3 of his units in each of those systems.
AGAINST: No effect.
And yes, the player gets to choose which units are destroyed.
We've had some other ACs/agendas that the wording wasn't quite right on in the last few games, too. When I set up the lists for the first game I copied them from an excel sheet someone had posted online, and it seems more and more like that excel sheet was them rewriting them from memory or something like that, not the literal text of the actual official cards.

Cool. If the Rider gives me one or two Play as an action AC, I am trending towards selecting Politics, which would make you the best target for Speaker the round after.

Ah, wonderful, that clears it up quite well!
Alright, I can probably take the time to update our Agendas list at some point - work has been pretty dead lately!
