To be fair, the game ending on such an anti-climactic note would suit it to the hilt: imho, this was collectively probably our worst run so far. Only D'rek and IH play very well, and Morgoth doesn't make mistakes but is mainly profiting from peace and quiet.

I think your game more or less went of the rails at the starting tech and through a few gambles and tangles with D'rek.
Tatts' game went of the rails when he selected that corner of space and Sol.
My game first took a turn for the worst when I decided I would utilize my great starting position as a defensive fortress instead of a base of expansion, and went further south through my deal with IH.
Nom didn't get much chance to do anything wrong except perhaps his racial selection after it became clear he'd neighbour Blend.
Blend plain and simple allowed himself to be outbuilt by a player with fewer resources and fewer starting strength and didn't negotiate from a position of strength. Also, choosing the wrong tech.
Gnaw doesn't do much wrong, but both this game and last he also doesn't seem to play for victory but for territory.

I am not sure I see this game as anti climatic, but then my area of the galaxy has seen quite a lot of action. I have very much enjoyed watching D'rek play so aggressively with the one race the official wisdom says needs to turtle more than anyone. It certainly surprised tatts to no end, and put her in a great position. At least for a while. It looks like Gnaw is having fun with the Nekro. I can relate to that, in TI4, the Nekro are just so much fun. Not the best race by any stretch I don't think, but a joy to play all the same.

Sure people have made mistakes in this game, but nothing is insurmountable, and with a game like this the positions are always in flux. Opportunities appear all the time, and the game is far from over.

As for my position, it's not like it came about out of thin air. IH and I, Gnaw and I, we have worked out a system that benefits us all, and gives us what I see as the best path to victory. We're all war focused races, and this way it becomes a race for whom of us can reach the most points first, rather than a protracted war amongst ourselves that only benefit the more peaceful races around the board. Fleets are brutally expensive in resources, time and tokens. Why risk them in confrontation when they can be used for expansion elsewhere?

I think I'd be in a great position to challenge this game if it wasn't for a hostile neighbour. You have had it easy. They've both left you alone.Tapper, Twelve, IH and Gnaw have all been relatively left alone. Only IH and Gnaw have been aggressive out of those. Blend, D'rek, Nom and Myself have all been hampered by war and siege. This is the second game you've not really had to do much except be patient.

I have largely been left alone thanks to Blend. However, I was more than ready to trade Lodor to Nom for his Racial PN had he come to an agreement with Blend - the three production lost would have been more than covered by the non-pirated TG I'd have had. Also, I think my fleet as is plus all those PDS I built are more than adequate to see off all but the heaviest attacks.

Whoever can and wants to exchange commodities with me please let me know. If Possible I want to do them in increments where I don't get pilfered. Reach out if interested.

I did say I was taking Corneeq this turn. I said it when youcould have moved those ships away. IH was tied up in Bereg so you had time. I couldn't risk you moving towards Jord with your newly built ships and this was the only course of action available to me.
