I think either Coltaine or at least one of the Wickans would be accurately played by Jason Momoa I can't think of anyone more perfect for the role.

As for the soundtrack: Right in Two by Tool Would have to be in there somewhere. The lyrics are closely relevant to Duiker's thoughts through the plot. It would be a good credits song. The guitar riff towards the end would excite goose-flesh if it was played in conjunction with one of the battles ;)

First half for the opening theme, second half for those scenes.

Hey guys...so. I think I'm lost. Are they really filming a movie or is this a fantasy of what a movie would be like?
maybe my fascination with fantasy and sci fi is that I dream of some future where theres magic and Homosexuals are the ruling race...ha. Adrian Summers aka..Playdoe

Cheers Patch I will look forward to seeing it! Never seen Chronicles of Riddick so I cant comment on Karl Urban. I still think Morgan Freeman would make a good Duiker...

A spoiler tag is available here as [ spoiler ] text [ /spoiler ] minus the spaces. Also, you should mention which text you're spoiling outside of the hidden text, otherwise what's the point of the warning, you know?

Duiker is specifically described as an old man, actually. Either that or everyone enjoys calling him "old man" for no reason and he has a thing for pretending he's ancient.
All these arguments about who would beat whom in a fight are irrelevant.

I agree that he is old, but I imagined him as more of a veteran turned historian who isnt grey, but bald and losing his edge a little, and the old man thing is a running joke he is starting to realize is true

Duiker is like John Amos. Old and grey and still able to kill you handily.

He always appeared in my mind as Anthony Hopkins.

Hm I think Anthony Hopkins is quite a bit too melanin-deficient for Duiker.

my imaginations are: Coltaine played by The Rock; Duiker played by Liam Neeson or Jeremy Irons.
btw, where I can check any news/rumor of the movie making of Chain of Dogs?

You can't, it's actually never gonna happen, but this thread still won't die! But again, Duiker is Dal Honese, not white.

Ah yes, Dal Honese. Oh well, If the Hollywood cares about the physical details, I imagine Duiker played by Denzel Washington or Wesley Snipes. Well, as a historian and a soldier, I prefer Denzel, (Snipes is a better warrior but more like a street-wise character, not an educated man like a historian)
