So I've read the first story (note: I've never read any of these shorts from the other anthologies they are a part of) and to my gleeful surprise it was a period piece, a Luccio focused/POVed American Western which included Wyatt Earp! And sweet jeebus it was excellent. I never knew I wanted a Dresden files period piece until now....but of course now I want more Luccio in the 19th century shorts, but also I want more period piece Dresden-world stuff from other era's too!

Fantastic start to the collection!

Yeah, the Luccio story is the most-recently published, and, along with the original story ("Zoo Day"), are the only ones I haven't read yet. I'll grab this as soon as the price comes down. ($15 Kindle for something I've already read 85% of? No thanks.)

SO MUCH AWESOME!!!!! ... ahhh, the dresdencrack....the shakes have stopped, i can breath steady again, no longer yelling FORZARE! at the top of my lungs every time i honk my car's horn at someone. Ive actually read a lot of the stories in this before, but they're short and fun enough to just let the earbook roll.

The LUCCIO story was sheer dresdencrack joy to read. Wyatt Earp... hee.

EVEN HAND remains epic Marcone goodness.This was thr fourth time i've read that short and it's awesome every time.

COLD CASE still messes with my head. Hearing it right after the earlier 'lighter' Molly story REALLY amps up the character's changes. Pun intended.

The BIGFOOT stuff is all fun. Light n fluffy as dresdencrack goes.

Just finished 'JURY DUTY', which i had not read before and really enjoyed. Some fun supernatural politics at work there.

I especially liked Jury Duty.

But Zoo Day was the highlight. The absolute crown jewel. The possibilities this opens up are extremely intriguing.

Loved Jury Duty and Cold Case some of the others where good think the bigfoot ones where among the weaker ones. Also Mouse third part of Zoo Day saved that story it was decent without it but Mouse is awesome.

Don't mind the Bigfoot stories, lighthearted Dresden fare. (Only through two of them so far)

I'm not a baseball fan so I didn't think I'd like CURSES, but damn that was a great little story too. Loved the little vignette at the end with Harry and Gwynn having a beer at the game.

EVEN HAND. Admittance time, I've NEVER read this one before. I'm unsure why. It was AMAZING though. It's odd, I thought it might be hard to be in Marcone's head since he's a criminal...but his "rules" make him palatable, and I can sense Butcher is setting him up for an eventual "take the heaviest hitter of your rogues gallery and have him help the lead against the even BIGGER villain(s) of the Apocalyptic finale trilogy.

Really enjoyed. I actually read it before my recent foray into the Patrick Weekes series I'm commenting on in the 'reading now' thread, but felt I should add to the love here. I've read some of the stories before but re-read them with pleasure.

Can't say any were favourites, liked them all pretty ... even-handedly.
