If I come back inno, what will you do about EP?

Lynch him for fake signaling.

Ok so here is Tennes. That's it. One checking in post, a drive by and this.

So definitely someone to be suspicious of.

Okay I just randomly found probably the latest vote on someone

So

Vote Fanderay

To get some lunch

I don't momentarily feel qualified to i think i forgot what I wanted to say

So apart from that early "I am intoxicated" post, this is At Estos. Just as lazy a vote as Tennes.

I do not like having two complete non-entities on the middle of the train pushing it towards the brink.

Vote Fanderay

Curious about this Yawn.

I like your vote on Fanderay but why are you quoting Eldat Pressen too?

Science has shown that yawning is contagious. In seriousness, it happens to be a coincidence, but what Merrid was saying was obvious, if incorrect.

Ano trying to deflect from Eldat by feigning ignorance?

For the record, in almost every game I start at least one game-day with a "yawn" . It's kind of a thing I do.

Fandy sure feels concerned about self-preservation.

If you guys are seriously suggesting I was supposed to infer who Thyr was dumping from one 4-letter post, you are giving me waay too much credit.

I've been rereading this to see what was bothering me about it.
You know what else is a 4-letter word? Yawn.
And why is it capitalized at the end of the only sentence?
The : emoji : words are not always obvious either. Sure, the coincidence is there, but not in writing - until Merrid points it out by disabling the emoji icon in his quote - matching spelling, case, etc., unlike Fandy's emoji.

It almost, almost reads like a symp signalling via making a case about a symp signalling...

Merrid is either extremely smart to catch such a subtle link or extremely lucky. Lucky is fine, smart can be dangerous. If anything, I think we overreacted to the "obviousness" of the coincidence. Difficult to say on day 1. Removing for now.

The Thyr vote was always a joke, though people clearly didn't get it. Ah well

I'll be heading out in about half an hour or so. Gonna

vote Fanderay

because a lynch is better than no-lynch.

There's always a 2/15 chance that Merrid's ridiculous case randomed on a scum.

Ok so from these posts a few things stick out to me

EP was apparently starting to play a bit of an "eager town" role with his vote on Thyr, but then when Merrid made the Fandy case he changed his play somewhat. What really irks me about him is the line about self-preservation. I see nothing wrong with a Townie trying to protect himself from a BS day 1 case.

Also included is Aranatha who I think played a major role in the Fandy train by pushing the Yawn case.

I had a different suspicion about Fanderay ... but there's definitely a pile-on that doesn't entirely make sense. I have a very strong feeling we're going to find scum in the range of the 3rd or 4th voter in the Day One train. Not casting my vote yet.

Vote Ruse

It's day 1 - risk is low, weak signal case is weak. Barely half of the players have been participating, the other half has been quiet. Since being targeted, Fandy's play doesn't strike me as scummy. I'll switch to get a lynch if we need to, but I am less convinced than I was, for various reasons

As RI, I can't think of a better play than lynching Ruse, assuming he doesn't show

Is it me or is the dumbest thing ever. Okay maybe not dumbest, but up there non the less.

What part of Ara's post is the dumbest thing ever and why?

It feels like a desperate deflection from the train running on you. Especially since Aranatha tries to make a point of saying they're RI, which seriously no one does on Day One.

Vote Fanderay

I thought it was you and Skintick, but it's really feeling like you and Aranatha.

Now Osseric is a very interesting case. Another super low poster, but when he does post, he plays the townie quite well - seems a bit skeptical about the train, talks about scum on it, and then reacts to what is being called Aranatha's deflection.

I am going to go out on a limb here and say that Osseric is a very good candidate for scum. Its a pure gut case, but his play reads like an attempt to appear innocuous town and yet still get a vote in to ensure the lynch. Its a bit early to call this, but his future play may be interesting.

I think his point about the remove vote was the YAWN. Yawn emoticon, followed by the word "Yawn." Signaling? I think Merrid may have a point, because EP does seem to be both deflecting and pushing for another target...but then he says he thinks the target is a symp. When would you ever vote the symp over the master? That's probably enough for me to lay a vote there but I'm gonna read a bit more

Can you say anything about EP symping or fake symping you along with your airtight vote? :p I know it's day 1, I just have questions - you say you're just providing any alternative, but why say "someone else's coincidental post"? It's not coincidence. It looks like he is symping you. I realize you may be dismissing the "yawn" link as coincidence when you're under fire but it may take more than just a vote to clear that up

But really, if it's just OMGUS, cool and all. From the count I think this is L-4

Ok, so I may have misread Aranatha.

While he did come on quite strong early on regarding the Fandy case, he later started having doubts and jumped off.

So while his late vote on Ruse is still quite odd, it does not seem as scummy anymore to me.

Anomandaris also comes off as the enthusiastic Town.

I think that if scum was on the train, we will find them among the silent ones - Tennes and Ay Estos. Also I will be keeping a very close eye on Osseric.

Not at all. This is something I like to do sometimes on Day 2, it is more for my benefit than anyone else, it helps me to get my thoughts straight regarding the game. Also I had some free time. :p

BTW would like an answer from you regarding Tennes.

You stood out more by commenting about the signalling case, but offering no opinion for or against, abstaining from voting. With your opinion there may have been another option, or information for town for later in the game. Instead you chose anonymity.

Tennes voted. I have no problem with people voting for the sake of getting a lynch if that's the way the wind is blowing. With Tennes voting I have a slight read on them, it shows they agree with the votes on Fanderay. I'd comment more on them as the game progresses, if they kept on doing that then they'd be a hella lot more suspect..

Actually it did not read like Tennes voted just to get a lynch, he was in the exact middle of the lynch train, with quite some time to go. What read do you have on him except that he voted and did nothing else? To me Tennes and Estos look like stealthy scum trying to nudge a lynch train along.

As for me, I thought the yawn case was laughable and I was waiting to see where it would go. I miscalculated about when I would be able to get back to the action.

That's easy to say in hindsight but you never said that on thread. If Fanderay turned out scum would it have still been laughable? What were your thoughts on Eldat Pressen?

RE Tennes; like day one I may have voted you and moved onto another suspect after you posted, trying to prod the game along, but your posts have made me stick with you for now. My read on him was that he was agreeable to a Fanderay lynch, which means he must have seen what a lot of us saw.

I only have a few minutes a day to post. There was not anything else to add to the Fanderlay case. It was a decent day 1 case. I believe that there was 8 hours or so left in the day and so I voted because I wasn't going to be back on.

I like the train analysis that you are doing Kalse. I hope to see this same analysis for every single vote on the train. Otherwise it seems as if you are cherry picking in an attempt to try to develop a train on a low poster.

The logical thing for the thread would be to assume I'm somehow stuck in the middle of this fiasco. And should be removed, so I don't become a lingering distraction.

meanwhile, we need to look completely outside the box that's being formed by the day 1 crap, because that's where the scum are.

Ugh. Don't try to play the "woe is me card", that's far scummier than anything else you've done.

Otherwise, it is nearly impossible to get a read on Tennes. Few comments and a vote? Reads like lazy town to me, but I could be wrong.

Kalse has joined the game well and Ruse is a non-character at this point.

Ah, I thought you were accusing Fanderay of being something due to the remove vote. Interesting take on the Eldat post.

Well I really don't want to be out on the first day due to someone else's coincidental post so I'll try to provide an alternative.

Vote Eldat Pressen

Can you say anything about EP symping or fake symping you along with your airtight vote? :p I know it's day 1, I just have questions - you say you're just providing any alternative, but why say "someone else's coincidental post"? It's not coincidence. It looks like he is symping you. I realize you may be dismissing the "yawn" link as coincidence when you're under fire but it may take more than just a vote to clear that up

But really, if it's just OMGUS, cool and all. From the count I think this is L-4

Vote Fanderay

Yawn. Morning. At work, re-caffeinating. Then I'll take the look at the 2 pages we got so far, and pick which check-in post feels the most suspicious.

Okay, so I found the laziest post of the game so far.

It has only 4 letters. You know that what else has only 4 letters? "S-Y-M-P" .Case slosed vote Thyr

Vote Fanderay

Curious about this Yawn.

Remove Vote

Ok, so I may have misread Aranatha.

While he did come on quite strong early on regarding the Fandy case, he later started having doubts and jumped off.

So while his late vote on Ruse is still quite odd, it does not seem as scummy anymore to me.

Anomandaris also comes off as the enthusiastic Town.

I think that if scum was on the train, we will find them among the silent ones - Tennes and Ay Estos. Also I will be keeping a very close eye on Osseric.

Just responding to one point here - Anomandaris always seems like enthusiastic town, so I wouldn't read too much into that just yet.

Edit: Actually, no, two points. Your assessment of Aranatha would actually make me more suspicious of them, not less. Backing off the Fanderay case more strongly the more it seems like an inevitability (and therefore safer to back off with no actual impact on diverting it from a lynch). Fair enough if you can present a case you believe in more strongly...but to vote for Ruse instead?
