Spoilers for size

The Primary region is set to UK - which Amazon are you going in through? If it's still not working I'll have a look tonight and see what I can do.

As an aside: We're now on Goodreads:

Where are you now? Could it be an issue with the IP address you're using atm?

Now that does sound weird, 'cause I'm in Germany and I seem to be able to buy it no problem.

The reason I'm asking is because I have a similar issue when trying to access Amazon via work wi-fi. My work place has all communication run through the home server in Switzerland, so all communication is marked as having a Swiss IP, so I can sit in Germany all I want, I can't order stuff using the work wi-fi from Amazon.de because Amazon.de does not deliver to Switzerland.

Jesus Christ sometimes systems are stupidly set up.

I've never bought an ebook off Amazon, never had a kindle. Downloaded the Kindle app for my phone there so I could read Incarnate.

So my Amazon account is set to UK.
My Kindle account is my Amazon account. And I'm shopping from amazon.co.uk
Wonderful.
I can't figure this out, so I eventually went on the app and into the help section, onto chat.
Mr Macros, you can not purchase that book as you are in Canada.
What? I'm lying in my bed in Tyrone, thousands of miles from Canada.
Well Mr Macros you registered a Canadian address with your Amazon account.
No, 8/9 years ago I ordered something on Amazon.co.uk and got it posted to someone in Canada as a gift. One single purchase, 8 or 9 years ago.
Yes Mr Macros but that address is still in your address book so your Kindle will not let you purchase books from the UK.
Can I buy Canadian Kindle books?
Only if they are available in the UK as well Mr Macros, you can not buy Canadian exclusive Kindle books as you have registered several addresses in the UK

At this point, had I been on a phone call to Kishore I would have fucking exploded.

However, I thanked him for his time and went into my account, address book and deleted the offending address. Iirc I had ordered a book for Tehol because she wasn't able to get it over there or able to order it from .co.uk with Canadian delivery, but I was able to order it and send it to her as a gift and she then paypaled me the money.

TLDR - sometimes Amazon are fucktards. Incarnate has been purchased and downloaded

How many you sell yet Maark?

If I get a chance I ll throw a line out on 17th Shard.

Last I checked it was 22, strongest were on day one but that's because my family are nerds (lol).

It's steady away at the minute, one or two per day. Might have to start marketing it soon, but for the moment I'm focussing on reviewing where I am with book 2's first draft. And remembering just how tiring this whole author business is, hahaha. I've barely touched this stuff since Realmwalker fell apart, so I'm revisiting stuff from like two years ago and having to remind myself what's happening etc.

You definitely should do some promo stuff. What you also probably should do is enter it into this year's Self-Published Fantasy Blog-Off, if and when it hits (happend at the start of May last year, just makr the date and start googling then).

Also, I got it on my to-buy list, just need to work out how to because I don't usually buy ebooks off Amazon and have nothing to read it with.

That is a dope front cover. :)

Somehow missed your comment Simeon, sorry! A mate of mine did the cover. I wanted something simple, stark and 'brutal' - call it Spartan, I guess. The main design is Nixuin's Glyph which is referenced throughout and you could reasonably view it as the symbol which represents Kaenna herself.

I was stoked with how it cam out but setting it up as a KDP paperback has proven to be of Dearth, haha. I need to look into that further.

Puck - thanks, I'll have a look into it. If you have access to the Kindle app (PC, phone, tablet, or a Kindle e-reader) then you should be able to access it that way.

EDIT: With regards book 2 and 3, the plan is to use Uvaer's Glyph and Oumraata's Glyph in turn. Book 4 is also going to have a Glyph as the cover, however I can't go into which one as it's a major story spoiler.

Yay! Its available in India!

I will be sure to review it on Goodreads.

Hey Maark , you may want to take a look at r/fantasy on reddit. There is a large group of self-pub authors there, and if you can become part of the community, it might pay off.

Here's more info about the SPFBO, if you're unaware: http://fantasy-facti...evitalising-sff

Also, being an active poster on reddit.com/r/fantasy seems like a good way to get some grassroots support too. This is a more long-term marketing move, and requires genuine (not wholly promotional) participation to build some relationships before you can start promoting your work.

Just began Incarnate. I feel like Maark should change his signature to:

Quote

The mortal right of Maark Abbot to be identified as the author of this work has been asserted in accordance with the Copyright, Design and Patents Act of 1988

I've never seen the term mortal rights used in a disclaimer before.

I'm not thumbing back 20 pages to check but I am pretty sure it said mortal rights. Does this mean that if I defeat you in mortal combat I assume the rights of all your written work?

Also, as an a side, so far you haven't written a terrible start.

I'm not exactly enthralled by what's going on but the story moves and the character/setting is interesting if perhaps overly familiar. I feel like you're perhaps explaining/describing things in passing that seems terribly obvious, like for example how the character is moving, what the consequences of a fall would be, etc. that seem superfluous to a person familiar with fantasy and thief character stuff but then again, you never know your audience.
