The title says it all. Just wanted to say hi, but have nothing new to say about Erikson or anything Malazan besides the fact they are still awesome.

So "Hello."

What's going on?
How have you been?

But also more importantly, why did you choose the avatar you have currently?

For myself: this is a sketch of a character from an indie video game I designed. His name is Zaknafien Zakford and he's a hobo-drummer-vampire-necromancer (in that order).
Author of Purge of Ashes.
Sayer of "And Nature shall not abide."

I wanted an avatar that would say something about me and would also be connected to fantasy. To me a dragon epitomizes fantasy, and I love reading. Hence my avatar.

I've had this for so long I can't remember. I assume I picked it around the time I read Paradise Lost, which makes it about twelve years ago.

Because Mu-12 is love, Mu-12 is life. I have all the merchandise, etc.

That said, I'm probably going to swap it over to Orange Heart soon.

Weird, some of your avatars change depending on theme... I had to flip to malazan empire to see what you were talking about! (Ip mobile doesn't show much.. maybe they're older ones. D'reks is showing a bit of toast and an egg on mobile)

I picked a Dark Souls character way back when I was playing DS's games back to back.

So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

It was the bet that you had with Dibs. What the bet was about I don't remember. But you lost so you had to have that avatar. Then you just kept it.
How many fucking people do I have to hammer in order to get that across.

I'm a huge Sturgill Simpson fan and i thought his new album cover was cool.

Historically i've had Augustus McCrae quite a bit, because he's probably my favorite fictional character.

Yeah, the mobile skin shows the user's profile picture, rather than their forum avatar. It's odd.

Because it looks cool and I think I was ranked as a Knight of something or another on the Forums old system at the time.

Hasn't changed in over a decade, which now makes me want to change it. But I absolutely hate it when other forum members change their pictures or names because I lose track of who is who

I have always thought that the reason behind Abyss' fluffy cat avatar was that giant tentacled interdimensional horrors tend to attract the wrong sort of attention thanks to Lovecraft.

This topic seems to have brought out the inner demon however
