I gotta say, the folksy, grandpa Biden shtick is wearing thin, giving us stories of riding trains and life growing up in Scranton (that goes on and on and on) evoking an elderly at the end of his twilight years, reminiscing about his youth. I don't want to go down the "cognitive decline" lane, but it does give one pause when listening to his speeches. I can't see him doing another term. Instead, give us ghost of Biden past (minus the creepy, gropey, hair/back of neck smelling creep).

I don't know, Trump caught a lot of public hate by public individuals. I recall Robert De Niro dropping the f-bomb and I think a Congresswoman said something along the lines of "let's impeach the mother peanut-brittle." (cept she didn't use peanut-brittle). I guess the distinction here is it's probably not good if you are the pilot of a commercial airliner and using the phrase when addressing the passengers on the pa system.

They have no reason to. Nobody's stopping them, and their power will continue to accumulate, even as their ill-defined existential dissatisfaction grows in parallel. Malignant, dangerous, and allied with power (at least, exploited by power). It's the rest of us that will need to adapt (if given the chance) to the new horrific paradigm. The horrors of the 21st Century will make the 20th look like a warmup act.
