Belgium always have the issue that on paper they have a fantastic group but they do not function as a team. Their coach is pretty poor as well when it comes to managing egotisticql players. They should be semifinal candidates, but they never deliver.

Yeah, both Belgium and Swiss are solid teams, but I can never consider them my favourites, because they're so damn inconsistent.

That being said, good showing by the Red Devils in the second half. If they'll be in this form against England, that'll be a tough opponent.

Whelp, certainly not a slam dunk, but England avoided it being a slam skunk.

England showed some great football in the first half hour. Should have been up by 2 or 3 goals. Kane was also pulled to the ground in the penalty area twice, very blatantly. Should have been at least one penalty, if you are going to give that Walker one. All in all solid result and well deserved. First game is always going to be scrappy, but this is an important one. One point would have been troublesome, with Belgium waiting.
