Cannot stand the idea of Real winning it a third time in a row. Liverpool all the way. Or Roma even. Just anything other than Real.
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

Blegh.

Have found a bar that shows late games but it's an hour's walk away. And the tube closes at 11. If I head there at 10.30.I won't even remember the football

Starting in about 15 min. Lets go Liverpool!

What kind of match do you guys think Salah will have?

Whew! That had me sweating bullets there at the end. Liverpool on through to Kyiv! Yes!

Some garbage goals there early on.

Well as much as I dislike Real, I'm gonna be rooting for them!

Are there divisions of hatred for other PL teams so strong that you'd rather root for another professional team in another league? I guess that could make sense. For example, if there was a Super Super Bowl and the New England Patriots advanced to the championship against, say, the Madrid Dragons, I would root for the Madrid Dragons.

Funnily enough, I think when the NFL had professional (american) football in Europe, there was a team called the Madrid Dragons. Oh wait scratch that, did some googling, there was a Barcelona Dragons.

Yes. Two teams I shall never root for are Liverpool and Man City. I'd rather Ronaldo get his hands on it than any Liverpool player.

In an ideal world from the semis I'd have liked Roma Vs Bayern as a final but it didn't happen...

Ronaldo is one of "ours" anyway so I'm happy when he is successful. :D

When you say Ronaldo is one of yours, does that mean he once played for Man. U?

In that vein, rumor has it that Real Madrid is going to try and acquire Mohamed Salah this summer. Nooooooooooooo!

Yeah he scored tons of goals for Utd a few years back. He used to play alongside Rooney in his peak. It was a good time.

And I'm not surprised re Salah. Much as I hate giving credit to anything Liverpool related, he's been great this season and I wouldn't be surprised if any of the big "we'll throw money at it in order to win" clubs (Real, Barca, City) are after him.

Yeah, didn't know that (re Ronaldo playing for Man. U). Am only recent viewer of Premier League football. About 5 years ago, we had an explosion of sports channels (Fox Sports 1 and 2, CBS Sports Ch., NBC SN) here in the U.S. Prior to these channels, there was no european professional league football to be viewed here. Now I can watch PL and Bundesliga, and UCL. I think La Liga airs on spanish only channels, but there is like only two good teams in La Liga, right? Whereas in PL, each weekend you usually can find a good match (Bundesliga is somewhere in between). And of course UCL play is kind of it's own thing/category, but I watch those when the matches are interesting.

Noooooo!!! There's rumor that England's Shrek (Wayne Rooney) might be coming to the MLS!

On a positive note for Man. U fans, rumor that Christian Pulisic is transferring there. He's an excellent footballer and the future of the U.S. National Team. We just need a few more of his caliber to make some waves on the international scene.

Rooney is a pretty quality player. Seems to be the new thing for excellent players past their prime to play in MLS to generate a bit of publicity...

Yeah, Beckham paved the way. I guess it's now a way - past their prime years - professional footballers can extend their careers. Also could be some other motives involved to. Seems we're in the age of "building your brand" and so there is probably a little bit of that involved as well. Supposedly Zlatan Ibrahimović turned down beaucoup $$ to play in China and opted instead to come to the MLS for a lot less.

He does refer to himself in the third person all the time. So, yeah, he's one of those guys.

My team NEC Nijmegen is currently in promotion play-offs.

We lost 4-0 away, so figured there was no chance in hell to make it through anymore.

It is currently half-time in the return match and we are 4-1 up...... madness...... I am not sure if my heart can take this.

Today is the last day of the season, right? And the title winners (Man. City) was settled last week.

So, when the season ends like this, is it really just a matter of determining who gets relegated, and who gets promoted? Also, isn't Man. City chasing down a rarely attainable 100 pts?
