A rising tide lifts all boats.
All the home sides in the EPL will see an economic boost when they host Man U. The unwashed masses will clamor to see a global icon. And then make it an extended sit at the pub afterward to discuss. ka-ching! $

Beckham's wages at PSG (that I think, he actually donated most of to charity in fairness to him) were covered by shirts and sponsorship

Well apparently shirt and other merch sales on day 1 relating to Ronaldo 7 branded goods were worth about £32m. Not bad for a days work!

Dang... Neymar, Mbappé and Messi on the pitch at the same time. They're going to negate each other though, yeah?

Looks like it. Very unimpressive display. I'm not a fan of Ronaldo because of his mannerisms, but he has shown time and again at multiple clubs and at different stages in his career that he makes a difference. Messi has only ever shown his skills at one club, and always within a team that was purpose-built around him. Wouldn't surprise me if he fails miserably at PSG.
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

As I was heading out the door, there was talk on Sky Sports about how next year's EPL will navigate the World Cup schedule. I didn't hear the report on what has been decided, but pretty much all the professional leagues in Europe will pause play Nov/Dec right? I guess some of the lower flights might still have play if no players are on the national team, though it all feeds into various cups at stake and the relegation formula, right? So maybe not. From a personal viewpoint, it's going to be weird to watch a World Cup in the late fall/early winter. Fucking Qatar.

Upsetting the football calendar is the very least of the issues surrounding Qatar hosting the WC

Yeah I almost want to not watch the WC because it's Qatar. I'm not sure I'm strong enough to completely avoid it though.

I'm not providing views to an event built on the corpses of thousands of slaves. Alas, I love the world cup, but not that much.

Ukraine finally won a World Cup Qualifiers game.
We've had an impressive run of 5 draws in a row, which somehow still put us in 2nd place (though Finland and Bosnia have one game at hand still).
The fact that we didn't lose to France, twice, was impressive.
The fact that we failed to beat Kazakhstan (also twice): not so much.
There are still 2 do-or-die games against Bosnia, but the outlook is looking somewhat better. Really weird group so far.

I think the Liverpool game could be the end of Ole's tenure tbh.i can't see us beating them (and you've no idea how much it hurt to say that). I hope for something different of course and it's a fan be that could go any of a number of ways. My expectations are low however.

This is a Sophie's choice.
Smashing United is always nice
Buuuuuuuttttt, a tight fought win with Ronny bagging a goal keeps Ole in the driving seat.....

I watched a bit of the post match interview with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after the win over Atalanta. Even though they won and he was pleased, his mannerisms and answers to questions seemed to indicate he sees the writing on the wall. I hope it's not the case.

Yikes, woke up and turned the match on and it's Liverpool up 2 - nil. Match is only 12 - 14 min in. I hope it doesn't get ugly.
[EDIT] It looks like it is going to get ugly, 3 - 0, still not at the 45 min mark. Wow, that is crap defense.
