It's just bollocks, isn't it. Because when the tactical vote doesn't work, not only do the tories stay in, but the marginal parties like Greens who I would otherwise have voted for lose the small number of seats they did have - leaving me no representation whatsoever, while a prime minister I didnt vote for steamrollers through an idiotic deal based on the result of something else I voted against.
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

Exit poll is predicting a Tory majority.

What the hell do they have to do before the country wakes the hell up?

Not just a Tory majority, but a big one. So even if exit poll is wrong, it will still almost certainly be a Tory majority of some kind.

Message of ‘get Brexit done, Corbyn is a communist’ much more simple and effective I guess.

So there's a significant majority portion of the voting population of England that would rather tear everything down, give the money and the power to the mega rich, and slowly waste away in order to not share resources with the needy or pay proper taxes.

Are they actually the majority though? or is the First past the post system just set up in such a way to favour people who are actually a significant minority?

I'm looking at the news right now and after combining the votes of everyone not Conservative, the Tories have just 880k less votes at 7.9 million. That's indicative of a majority - a horrifying one, but a majority bc not everyone votes.

Voted. Went with my conscience instead of tactics. Man I loathe this electoral system.

Fuck. If all the Labour voters here had gone Lib Dem we would have defeated the Tory candidate. I went the wrong way, Labour came third. Not that it would matter now of course. I think it's Nigel's night, the bastard. Brexit Party taking votes from Labour in the Midlands and the North allowing the Conservative candidate to sneak by. I cannot believe the former mining constituencies that have gone Tory. These people have short memories. The only hope for the country now is that their MPs soften the Tories and Johnson no longer has to pander to the worst sections of his party for votes. Five years of Tory majority rule. Balls.

ALL 23 independents lost. Whoa.

Looking at the map, it seems Labour had the cities and most of Wales but lost a lot of former heartland in the north to the posh prats,
Midsomer (non-city Pomgolia) stayed posh,
the Paddies were all over the place as usual,
and the Jocks voted SNPochayehootsmon.

Is ... is that a Lib Dem seat in the far north of Jockland?

This is why conservative parties everywhere try and keep the population uneducated and distracted. And by and large it seems to be a winning strategy.

Carefully note in highly educated Euro countries they don't seem to have these problems.
