The countdown for the conferences has begun!

http://www.e3countdown.com/

http://www.e3expo.com/takeover

The event will run from June 14th til the 16th.

The above links contain information about where and when to see the various parties conference shows, as well as what games to look out for.

Here's a list of the confirmed or likely games that will be on show:

http://www.ign.com/w...ames_at_E3_2016

So what are you guys looking forward to?

If I had to make a list of games I am looking forward to, it will be games like:

Horizons: Zero dawn
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
Titanfall 2
Watchdogs 2
Ghost Recon: Wildlands
Mafia 3
Dishonored 2
Mass Effect: Andromeda

And strangely I am also oddly exited for Final Fantasy 15 and Persona 5, even though I am not very fond of Japanese games.

I am hoping for some super secrete revelations about:

Red Dead Redemption 2
Red Faction: Guerilla 2
Darksides 3
Shadow of Mordor 2
What ever DC game it is WB Montreal has been working on for ages now.
God of War 4

... Half-life 3?!

Maybe it's cuz the next 2 weeks are busiest weeks of the year so far, work-wise, but I don't feel much enthusiasm over this E3.

I'll probably buy the 2 august releases (DX and Mirror's Edge 2) based on reviews. I'm excited about the idea of Dishonored 2, but I still haven't played the original (but soon-ish, as it's close to the top of the list.) I may be interested in Watchdogs 2, but more of an idea, not execution.

Red Dead 2 would be interesting, but only if they release it on PC.

I wonder if the new post-apoc RPG from Pirahna Bytes will be there? that may be interesting.

Oh, and mandatory: "Please give us new Legacy of Kain game Squeeenix, kthanxbai"

I am sort of suspicious, because compared to last year, there hasn't been a terribly large amount of "leaks" or early reveals of games. This suggests that either a) there's fewer games lined up this year or b ) they are keeping their cards very close to their chest. That goes for both first and third party studios.

I think there's going to be a lot of focus on VR and new consoles, and this might be part of the reason why we haven't heard a lot yet.

Surely Sony is going to be presenting a whole slew of games for the PSVR during the fall. Similarly, in true console release tradition, if both Sony and Microsoft are releasing new upgraded consoles this winter, then there might be games planned to showcase what the enhanced platforms can produce.

Not to mention what ever Nintendo is up to. According to a rumor, the new Nintendo got pushed to next year some time, but surely they have to start building up hype.

The underlined may well be the reason I don't really care, being PC-only and ambivalent about VR.

This year's already seeing a release of the ton of single-player games i'm interested in. I'm always open to be surprised by smth new and awesome, but pre-existing hype is zero atm.

Gearbox Software are meant to be at E3 this year, so I'm hoping for some form of Borderlands 3 news.

The pre-E3 trailer dump is finally beginning.

I'll urge everyone to post any content they see and want to discuss.

Yukaa-Laylee, the kickstartet spiritual successor to Banjo-Kazooie, just dropped a trailer:

Volition just announced Agents of Mayhem. The trailer looks awful but it's from the Saints Row devs so I have faith in the product.

Guerilla Games just revealed a new story trailer for Horizon: Zero Dawn. Still not sure what the actual gameplay is going to be like but it looks beautiful.

Here's that game I mentioned earlier, from the people who made Gothic and Risen.

Caught my eye- post-apoc with Mechs, raptors and jetpacks.

Just remove the s from https.

Doesn't show much. However I have visited their home page earlier. It does look potentially interesting.

Watch Dogs 2 teaser. World premier set for Wednesday 8th.

This is one of the games I am most excited for. I liked Watch Dogs despite its rough edges. I hope they lean into the hacker noir themes and delve further into the nature of privacy and information brokering.

Watch Dogs as a idea has tremendous potential- the E3 it was originally presented at, it was easily the highlight of the show. But Ubi's execution was basically "another open world collectathon"

It would be really nice to see something more "mature" (in terms of actual gameplay, getting away from Ubi's now-traditional model in favour of a more RPG-ish model (dare I pray they take take few suggestions from design of Alpha Protocol-it would be a good fit to the theme/setting), but i'm not really holding my breath.

As always, i'm open to be proven wrong, :p

I did not realize that E3 scheduling this year is actually sensible. Since I have Monday off for other reasons, I might actually catch some stuff live.

Sunday there's there Euros to watch though, I gotta watch GER-UA. And i'll have other stuff that needs getting done + soccer in the evening both days.

Still, the fact that it's on my 2 days of means I'll probably be at least able to watch same day replays, instead of waiting a week.

Edit: there's also a "Deus Ex Universe/ Squeenix Pre-E3 showing" today, that's supposed to reveal a new project. Might take a look at that during my lunch break.

Ubisoft is about the launch a live stream to some kind of Watch Dogs 2 reveal:

I am pretty excited about this. Enough so that I went and downloaded the first game last night and played an hour or two.

I am surprised its taken them that long to release Skyrim on this generation. It's basically just a pile of money sitting there, waiting to be collected.

More trailers:

I get so angry every time they show Batman fighting hand to hand with characters like Superman, Flash or Aquaman.

Two new Deus Ex announcements:

Breach looks great. I first thought this was an entirely seperate Deus Ex product. This addition is making Mankind Divided look even better.

I liked the GO versions of Hitman and Tomb Raider. This will probably just be more of these same but I will play it.
