I'll be watching. I loved season 1. I can't recall names at the moment, but the lady cop who helps Kovac was both awesome and GORGEOUS.
Also, the whole Edgar Allen Poe hotel theme was well done and my favorite flavor.

Ortega was given a much bigger role in the series - and yes she was awesome!
Poe was brilliant too. Great choice considering they couldn't use the Hendrix. But he's returning? The next book is set on a different planet in the future, so I don't know how they'll spin that.
I don't know, what is Kovacs anymore? They've taken away his entire purpose.

So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

No clue to what extent they're adapting BROKEN ANGELS, if at all. There's actually very little information out there for a fast google.
Even if they are going with that and close to the book, it wouldn't be hard to work in the AI, as super-boutique-hotel or other variations.

From what little I've seen about season 2, I think they mention Kovacs is heading back to Harlans World, as well as the "looking for his lost love" angle. Which would suggest that they are going to skip Broken Angels, and probably go with some variation on the Woken Furies storylines. But considering how the changes they made already have kinda fucked up the story (Kovac and the Envoys, his sister storyline), I'm not at all confident of it being any good. I just don't get why they made those changes to book 1 for the adaptation, as it badly compromised the story going forward?
Still, who am I kidding, Im definitely gonna watch.

Yah, totally going to watch.
But season one changes made no sense to me regards going forward with canon. I can only assume it's going to be loose, very loose, to storylines and in universe

I've watched through episode 6. I still like Poe the best.

Finished S2. Very very good in parts, quite slow in others. Very enjoyable still and overall left me wanting more.
Genuine pondering of mine. The nudity and sex were frequent in S1 but relatively non-existent in S2. Wonder why this is? Different show runner/writing team?

I finished S2 yesterday. Didn't really like it. Mackie didn't quite fit as Kovac for me, he seemed too self-aware in the role to be a full on badass. I also missed the character of Harlan's World - apart from the politics and orbitals it could have been any planet. And the quantity of melodrama was annoying.
My memories of Kovac is he takes all the drugs, takes all the women and repeatedly uses Envoy Intuition to overcome insurmountable odds while being a ruthless badass with a side of heart. There wasn't enough ruthless badassery.

I left it after the changes to the envoys and his sister.
But still, season 1 had Martha Higareda.
