Okay so with out going into spoilers, what is the impression of the story and cast?
My main worry about this film has been that the story would be too disjointed and the cast would become bloated with heroes and villains that get 1 line the whole film.

Watched it the day it came out over here, it was great, better than I actually expected, Spiderman was on point and damn do I hope that this bodes well for other companies (I'm looking at you FOX) entering into deals such as Sony's - it's still patently ridiculous that they have the Scarlet Witch but can't use the term mutant, and as much as I can't stand Reed Richards or any of the Fantastic Four, they are an important fixture in the Marvel universe - I am actually looking forward to this millionth Spiderman reboot now
Definitely my favourite Cap film, which is saying something because Winter Soldier was brilliant - in fact perhaps a better film technically, but less enjoyable for me - still not my favourite MCU film though, frankly I feel as though it'd take a miracle for them to beat Guardians of the Galaxy, though I have high hopes for the sequel next year. Talking about next year, with the sheer volume of superhero movies, if audiences are ever going to turn away from them it'll be next year.
Roll on Doctor Strange I say. After Antman (loved it) and Guardians, I have complete faith in Feige and co's abillity to transfer perhaps less popular characters to the screen - though it's true Strange isn't in the same bracket as either of the previous two I mentioned, he's not an Iron Man, Cap, Thor or Hulk either. Honestly it's the main films that have been slightly disappointing in recent years (until Civil War) what with Iron Man 3 and the frankly underwhelming Avengers sequel.

It does this really, really well. Imo, better than the 'true' Avengers films (I mean, this is an Avengers film essentially). Pretty much everyone gets their part to play. Some of the parts are pretty small, but all are significant and/or cool.
It's just pretty ace all-round, really.
I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you.

The story seems pretty good, some backstory could be expanded a bit more but it is a Captain america movie so i get that. Cast is mostly known people so pretty good. A lot of the reasoning for the whole administration stuff is a bit stupid and forced but i guess people are stupid so it kind of works.
all in all a very good movie, i would rate it up there with winter soldier which i think is one of the best MCU film s so far.

I am curious about Doctor strange as i think that will be the first with lots of magic in the MCU so im hopeful it does it well

Me too, and I never liked spiderman before. Also, Black Panther was amazing: his introduction felt organically, his involvement felt organically, I can't wait to see more of him.

Agree. It felt like everyone had the right amount of screentime for their role (it helps, I think, that we know all these characters now), and every character got their own special highlight. If anyone got shortchanged, it was probably the Cap himself, considering it's supposed to be his movie. It was definitely more a 'Cap and Iron Man' film.
The story was good. The moral dilemma was painted in pretty broad and simplistic brushstrokes (with the Cap's justifications sounding a bit like an NRA member's), but it's not like I was expecting deep philosophising insights. Instead, the plot did what it was supposed to do - be entertaining, with even a bit of the feelies thrown in. And I loved the action set pieces - the airport one was just complete fun, and the final battle was brutal.
The villain was also, for me (and I know a lot might not agree) the best one since Loki.

Saw Civil War this afternoon. Solid stuff. Emotionally-charged, weighty but spry, with well-choreographed action sequences.
By the final act, when our two leads are beating the shit out of each other, you just want them to stop. Proves the film had done its job.

Civil War is both a Captain America sequel and a third Avengers movie, and that’s more than any movie could possibly pull off. Still: There are smart people in charge of these movies, people who care about the characters and want to do right by the audience. That’s not nothing.

What a quality film.
I thought it was the most complete Marvel film yet character and story wise. I enjoyed Guardians more with the fun element but this is definitely my second favourite film.
The Russos are absolutely nailing the films and it bodes well for Infinity War.
I thought Spidey was great but Black Panther and Ant Man (surprisingly) stole the show for me.
I agree with Khell too, the bad guy was excellent and had some development rather than I am a bad guy and I want to beat you.
Edit
FYI - 2 after credit scenes.

Good film, Very good film. Will have to rewatch again. Not sure if its as good as The Winter Soldier but damn if that final battle wasnt emotionally painful.
However in my opinion the use of Spiderman was not a good idea. His introduction scene was really bad and cringe.
Unlike Black Panther, who was thematically organic to the film and essential, Spiderman stuck out like a sore thumb as the late addition he was.

In the conext of this film he does stick out. In the context of the film franchise this was probably for the best. Its the 3rd spiderman reboot in a decade. We can not be exposed to another origin film for spiderman. So they threw him in like a back door pilot and now they can make films with him.

I know their intent, but Ithink its really unorganic to the film. It reminded me of some of the bad decisions that were made with Batman vs Superman. Throwing in stuff to set up future films without consideration of how it impacts the current film. Could Spiderman not star in his own non-origin film in the MCU without introductions in this one? Remember The Incredible Hulk didnt bother with an origin either (just over the credits).

Saw it last night. It was awesome.
This movie did a great job setting the stage for phase 3 yet still feeling completely like its own movie. I just hope the repercussions of Civil War continue to reverberate through the next several movies.
Spider-Man actually being played by a teenager is such a good casting choice. Holland nailed the role and I can't wait to see him again next year. That said, what I'm really looking forward to now is the Black Panther film. Awesome character and his suit design was incredible, probably my favorite to date.

I think Holland is perfect for the job and I'm glad Spidey has been brought into the MCU-fold, but I'm a little pissed the Black Panther and Captain Marvel movies had to be pushed back for Spidey's solo movie.

If it reclaims Spidey from the mess Sony made of him i'm cool with that. Plus it's nice to see Marisa Tomei get work.
Unexpectedly, i'm even more psyched for ANT-MAN 2 now.
The writers nailed the character and Rudd utterly nailed every beat they gave him and looked like he had a blast doing so.

Agreed, I'm more excited for Black Panther and Captain Marvel than yet another Spiderman.
On another note Ant-Man messing around in Iron-mans suit was I think the funniest thing I've seen in the entire MCU, bar nothing.
