- Should have stuck with a single coroner instead of two.
- A maybe depending upon other factors: The scum teams should have been equal: either two players, captain with a recruit or three players, no recruits.
- A more forceful splitting of the two cop factions. Maybe should have made them two different jurisdictions: buddy cops (locals) and Fibbys, with the Feds being shady at best.
- The Intrepid Reporter being a blogger solved problems but it created confusion about mod-puppets. Needs re-think.
- Definitely need a prosecutor to make deals.
- I badly fucked up letting a BP stop a kidnapping. That alone changed the game dramatically. Although it apparently kept it from falling apart as fast as I feared.
- I should have made "return fire" turned on by default instead of off unless turned on. And maybe should have made the odds of a miss 1/3 and the odds of hitting a bystander 1/5. The idea on this was that a good cop would end up shooting a bystander and being forced into retirement. hindsight....
- I seriously considered giving the scum factions a complete internal conversation thread. Maybe I should have...
- I'll take the "I was sick" card and admit I should have taken HiddenOne's signup and made him the second cosa nostra warrior. But I was afeered of a no-show and was grateful for a back up.

Perhaps, but I think more crucial was that there should have either been some negative consequence to leaking information, and/or more incentive for them to release incorrect information - A maybe depending upon other factors: The scum teams should have been equal: either two players, captain with a recruit or three players, no recruits.
I really liked the idea of a recruit, really fits into the corruption aspect. Scum don't necessarily have to be equal, but I think they needed a bit more help - the Salvadorans should have known each other, for example. - A more forceful splitting of the two cop factions. Maybe should have made them two different jurisdictions: buddy cops (locals) and Fibbys, with the Feds being shady at best.
Some kind of split, yes. I was thinking perhaps even an actions split, so only one can do finds, and only their partner can vig. - The Intrepid Reporter being a blogger solved problems but it created confusion about mod-puppets. Needs re-think.
No, that was us being stupid. Somebody said that a Fener post had been edited by PS, which led me, and I think others, to assume that Fener was mod-controlled. Maybe there should have been some clue about getting in touch with Fener, BUT in one of my very first posts I actually said that we should send a PM to get in touch with Fener - and then totally forgot about that!! - Definitely need a prosecutor to make deals.
- I badly fucked up letting a BP stop a kidnapping. That alone changed the game dramatically. Although it apparently kept it from falling apart as fast as I feared.
It actually lengthened my game, so I'm grateful for thatBut might there be some mechanic where a kidnap victim could escape?
- I should have made "return fire" turned on by default instead of off unless turned on. And maybe should have made the odds of a miss 1/3 and the odds of hitting a bystander 1/5. The idea on this was that a good cop would end up shooting a bystander and being forced into retirement. hindsight....
I don't think it should be automatic. But yes, I do think the odds should be lowered, AND told to the people with the ability - make them really think about using it.

Thanks for modding! I had fun with the game. Guess it was a mistake to tell Gusty I was on the take, but I figured it didn't matter anyway..and "the leverage" I had on him made me think it was a safe bet..I was dead anyway..I was just playing it out for the hell of it. No telling what kind of twists the game could of taken.
As far as arresting Khell, work interfered while I was about to hit post on the edit..sigh..although, I'm not sure Khell would of thanked me
Wonderful premise, and I really did enjoy the game! Can't wait to play part 2 version.

That *cough* might have been me trying to get people thinking Fener was a mod-puppet... Although the blessed edit was to remove Fener placing a vote as it wasn't entirely clear if he could or not at that point in PM.

It is Day 7. 6 hours and 23 minutes remaining
5 Players still alive: Denul, Emurlahn, Gait, Liosan, Shadow
3 votes to lynch, 3 votes to go to night.
Players not voted: Denul, Emurlahn, Gait, Liosan, Shadow
Acting on a lead developed by the CSI unit, a search was made of the abandoned steel mill in the South City dockyard. Emurlahn was found in a storage room, chained to the wall. Apparently he had spent his time scratching notes on the walls and floor; notes which he really did not want to leave. The EMT assured Shadow that the ranting was due to a temporary delusional state brought on by Emur's severe dehydration. Shadow was only temporarily assured by that field diagnosis. He spent that night at his partner's hospital bed listening to Emurlahn "explain" that his game was almost ready, it just needed some more tweaking to the balance. And locations. The economy is a little off too...
That's a Tapper reference by the way.
