hahahaha. Both coroner and assistant are leaking info to a reporter.

Would not Eloth be left also - or are you saying that Eloth has to leave the game if Grasp does? I thought you were suggesting Grasp merely says, along with the other things he's done/knows, that Eloth is working for the mafia - which everyone knows anyway. Then the rest of them decide what to do with Eloth.

There should be more drawbacks for the 'good guys' leaking info - it's not like it's whistleblowing, it's plain out accepting money for confidential information the public shouldn't necessarily be privy to before a case is closed!!!

I disagree.
With those finds out in the open, it was in town's interest to give scum as least time as possible to change NAs. I would have hammered, too, but was busy. Now I know I'm not scum, so that behavior is not my hallmark of scummines.
However, knowing Khell, there's probably manipulation hidden in true finds.

Sigh, I'll never try being honest with people in mafia again

I'm going to go back to my strategy from the first few games I played. Never lie. Evasion, vagueness, partial truths, etc but never a flat out lie.

Denul is the one who was accepting cash for tips. Liosan is doing it on his own.

I thought you were suggesting Grasp merely says, along with the other things he's done/knows, that Eloth is working for the mafia - which everyone knows anyway. I'm thinking something like:
Emulahn gets an order "straight from the top" to arrest Eloth.
Shortly thereafter the Mayor's Office announces:
The District Attorney is, as I speak, indicting former Police Officer Eloth on RICO charges involving organized crime, theft of monies and narcotics, and dealing narcotics, and conspiracy to murder a fellow police officer. We anticipate further charges to be introduced against Mr. Eloth in the next few hours or days. It is a sad day when we learn that one of our own has turned, but rest assured, we believe we have rooted out the problem in our midst and our fine Department is working as it should.
Grasp retires inthread.
Gait receives a tip from an "unnamed source within the DA's office" telling him that "Grasp wasn't quite so clean himself but was instrumental in obtaining information that led to the arrest of Eloth. Not to mention Grasp did kill the guy who killed the guy who was kidnapping you."

Isn't it a bit weird that Eloth would be forced out of the game on the action of another person who doesn't even realise that their action would force him (Eloth) out of the game?

a: That's why the VC says eliminate not kill. Bad Cop in jail is 'eliminated'.
b: Eloth was the one who told Grasp that he had been recruited to the mob.

b: Eloth was the one who told Grasp that he had been recruited to the mob.
a: I argue the vagueness again. No one is going to make that distinction.
b: And from that they're supposed to make a connection that Grasp, by retiring, can remove them from the game?
My point is that this would all be completely fine, if there had been some explanation of the new rules and roles in the OP. You can warn that 'actions have consequences', but there is no way for anyone to know what those consequences will be UNTIL they do the action! Which is why I think there should have been more clarity on the new mechanics (which in and of themselves are great, by the way).

This is under discussion. Should you wish to quietly approach the DA, what would you be able to offer them in exchange for them to overlook your previous "misbehaviors"?
Do you have anything to offer?

Grasp has the information that Eloth is far dirtier than he is. But he has to tell me that ratting his partner out is on the table. Otherwise his game goes on...

Personally I go with tell what ever will not get you lynched and then nothing more. What ever you do will come back to bite you in 3 days regardless. But if you can get khell lynched then tell what ever lie will get the job done.

That seems very straight forward. Grasp just has to say "other then Eloth working for the mob nothing I suppose" Bam Gasp is retired. Eloth is in jail. Bad Cops are removed from the board. Leaving scum in a super shitty position. But hey. That is the way the game goes.
