Its a common trend these days.
They show too many snippets of the big scenes as well.
I want a blockbuster to go down the no information route for marketing for a change.
Just so I don't have to spent my time dodging trailers

Unlike you, QT, I haven't been following the Movie that closely. I suspect I am much closer in that regard to the majority of people who will be watching the movie.
I hated how much the trailer revealed. We are told how the three acts of this movie will play out. We are shown why it will play out that way, and we know how it will end.
Compare it to the Star Wars trailers for instance, where we are shown enough to get the excitement running, but we still do not know the shape of the plot. Well I dont. Maybe if one reads all the rumours one might figure it out. I wouldn't know.

Alright. That's all fair enough. I do follow this stuff closer.
Well, here's hoping there is still lots left to enjoy in the theatre for you guys.
I think this will be a great movie regardless of how much we've seen.

It was also a point said a little more, hm, accusatory than I intended. At any rate, I will see this movie, but I have no trust at all in Snyders ability to tell a story with any kind of dept. Hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Snyder is hit and miss with me. While I like 300 (to an extent....I actually prefer the sequel he didn't direct), I did not like WATCHMEN much at all, nor did I like SUCKER PUNCH (turned it off half way through the first time I tried to watch it). But I out and out loved MAN OF STEEL. So here's hoping he delivers something I like this time.
I will say that it is a childhood dream to see the most famous superheroes, Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman in a live-action film together for the first time. For that alone I feel I'll derive enjoyment out of this.

Yep... unless the initial buzz is wholly negative I kind of have to see this once the mouth-breathing masses have cleared out a bit.

...my point is that even before this trailer they had already shown a bit too much. Not to mention, revealing who the villain is? Why not just leave it at Luthor and then have Doomsday come as a surprise?
Because the payoff for the surprise would last about as long as the Thanos reveal in the first Avengers movie did (about thirty seconds after the advance screenings ended), so they might as well use the reveal for hype buildup now to draw in more of the on-the-fence audience.

I also can't buy that Lex Luthor would be the defacto villain that three powerful superheroes would need to team up and fight...so I always assumed that a bigger, more threatening foe waiting in the wings. But yeah, I agree a "reveal" of Doomsday in film would not feel like a gasp-worthy moment to me anyways, nor would it last past those advance screenings, so why bother.

See, they do know how to make a trailer!
I'm thinking they put whoever did the last Suicide Squad trailer on duties for this one. Pretty awesome. They look, at the very least, as if they've got Batman bang on the money for a more OTT 'verse.

They've basically pulled off what no Batman movie before (even the Nolan ones) could. Make Batman move and fight like he does in the comics and animated movies or more succinctly the Arkham video games. The opening sequence is amazing.

OF COURSE it's gonna be like DKR: great performances from some, horrendous from others; wooden direction; nonsense story. That's like the key to making DC movies.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Rather than start a big discussion about Millar pissing all over Superman and Snyder drawing inspiration for his second Superman movie from that same comic book and why that's absolute bullshit, let's just agree to disagree.

I really liked the third trailer.
It was atmospheric and showed the tone of the film. It gave snippets of conflict without revealing too much, and the main thing it showed was Batman squaring off against Superman which is what the title of the film is about, so it didn't feel like it gave too much away.
I was just disappointed that the other two long trailers gave away so much of the plot that so that it is hard to imagine that there will be anything surprising in it.
My favourite type of trailer is one that gives me a sense of the film but doesn't give away specific or integral plot points.

OK, this is funny. Ben Affleck pranking fans touring WB and Henry Cavill asking kids who is better: Batman or Superman?
