Just saw it. Top marks, really did the comic justice.

Best intro credits ever.

:hrhr:
"Fortune favors the bold, though statistics favor the cautious." - Indomitable Courteous (Icy) Fist, The Palace Job - Patrick Weekes

"Well well well ... if it ain't The Invisible C**t." - Billy Butcher, The Boys

"I have strong views about not tempting providence and, as a wise man once said, the difference between luck and a wheelbarrow is, luck doesn’t work if you push it." - Colonel Orhan, Sixteen Ways to Defend a Walled City - KJ Parker

From start through to finish, my favourite marvel film by a measure.

Great story, casting was all spot on. You can just tell how much of a blast Reynolds had making this.

Opening credits were funny, all the 4th wall breaks were brilliant, ending credits were great.
Serious belly laughs on a regular basis, but they still managed to make it a great film that was more than the jokes, the jokes a dialogue just seemed to flow with the action and it felt like an hour, I would happily have sat for more.

Couple of jackman references were hilarious

The Liam Neeson joke had me laughing the most. "I had a Liam Neeson dream. I kidnapped his daughter and he just was not having it". (or something along those lines).

I saw it last night and it left me a bit cold which is a bit gutting. I enjoyed it but I don't quite see what all the fuss is about.

I saw it last night and I am cold and dead inside my cool British reserve permitted the corners of my mouth to flicker just once for a microsecond.

FTFY.

New images of Josh Brolin as Cable.

Spoilered for size.

Looks cool. Maybe he looks a bit scrawny to play Cable but what what are you going to do.

Not sure about that "shush" pose in the second picture. Maybe it's just made for a bit of fun but comic book Cable is a no non-sense, no fun, I am going to stomp you into mush kind of fella. He's the straight man to Deadpools comedian slap stick. I hope they don't start to do some dumb actors interpretation of the character.

Still feel like Mel Gibson would have been the enlightened choice to play old man cable.

I don't like agreeing with apt, so I won't.

I can see where you're coming from with the Mel angle, but I feel he would fall into riffing with Reynolds too much, like back to lethal weapon banter.
I think Brolins can play the dead straight better (assuming g think hey do go that route, a vicious but deadpan cable beside Reynolds deadpool would be perfect)

Avoid judging a live-action Cable against a Rob Liefeld standard? :p

Just as long as a Brolin version isn't too similar to his work from Men in Black 3, should be fine.

Actually Macros comment just made me think that if they want comedy, all they have to do is make Brolin channel his Men in Black 3 performance. That was one of the few funny things in that film.

Liefeld isn't the only one who drew Cable as a brawny type of character. I don't think of him as massive, like say Collosus, but he is tall and muscly. A more heavyset character would work for his role. Hence my liking of Gibson for the role. He looks the part.

Shatterstar and his pal Longshot are artificial beings from the Mojo world. I dunno if any X-men movies will tackle that at all.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Longshot and Shatterstar weren't AIs, they were vat-grown something clone something time travel loop something DNA something soul transferrance mutants 90s damn Liefeld something wtf PAD something something aw fuckit COMICS!.

Liking the visuals for Domino and Cable that we're seeing. I have zero issue with her being a Black woman with a white eye-thingy, and Cable looks suitably Cabley without being entirely ridiculous even allowing for a Deadpool movie sequel.

...really, it's the teddy bear that makes Cable perfect.

I'm iffy about Domino.

I don't really care about the actors race but I think she should be bright white with black polka dots. If they can have a dozen different skin colors in Guardians of the Galaxy, why can't Domino be white and black? It's sort of a part of her name, isn't it?

Also I get too much of a 70s vibe off of her hair, she doesn't look stupidly 90s enough, but now I am just nitpicking.

I think what will decide my opinion of her will be when we get a trailer and we hear her speak and see her kick ass. Please don't make her the token sassy black chick.

I haven't read any of the comics, but domino's look there is more 'patch' than domino, would it not have been better to have the white much more uniform and circular like the dot on a domino?

for clarity, this is what I mean by patch, and it's the first thing that jumps to mind for me when I see her eye

but the point remains, it looks more like patch the dog than a Domino.
I have no issues with her race/ colour/ whatever, just one of the first impressions I got from the look

That's actually an interesting observation. Looking at the image again, I think I'd like her look more if the splotch was uniformly round or oval. Then I'd be less concerned about her color.

She also lacks some muscle tone but then again Wonder Woman really spoiled us.
