Interceptor has 3 energy from the default source - the default Drive costs 1 Energy and the Plasma Cannon costs 2 Energy.
Computer doesn't cost any Energy.
Should work, no?
edit: yeah, was thinking positron computer when I read that. sorry. -gnaw

Terrans, our Birch forests, bastions of wisdom and safety, warn that the ancient is a threat that might be best met with a starbase since your suggested interceptor configuration lacks armor. Should your plasma weapon miss.....

I can afford to stick 3 more interceptors in that hex, the ancient can potentially kill 2 of them before I get an extra shot at it. All I need is one hit in 6 shots. That's my current plan.

I would have preferred a Shield or Improved Hull to the current configuration, but I figure this still gives me a good chance of clearing it, while leaving ships open to potentially deal with another Ancient incursion from the Hive. If I built a Starship, I'd have to potentially build another one next round if the hive sent a ship over into the warp portal hex. I'll have to put a Starbase there eventually, but for now I want a bit of freedom of movement.

The Forests have consulted and the Overmind has reached a tentative conclusion. The Beech and Dogwood forests wish for ships, as they always do, although this time they are butressed by the Junipers warning of thieves out to steal what is rightfully ours in the Nebula. The Oaks finally decided the issue by pointing out that strength comes from resources not from sparring with witches and mechanical thieves. Yet.

THEFT REQUIRES OWNERSHIP. NEBULA CANNOT BE OWNED. THEREFORE WHAT LIES WITHIN CANNOT BE STOLEN.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.
