It's hard to fiesta sans cerveza.

This was predicted and it makes sense early on for you. I am going to say it once though. Be prepared for a full game of battles if you come for me. If it goes the way I'm predicting you will not want to face me come round 3.

Huh I hadn't thought CF would be attacking the ancient homeworld it would make infinitely more sense to attack draco and the hive hex rather than the ancient homeworld before D'rek gets her production up. D'rek has no significant material production or technology just yet and there is a nice line of ancients to be smush and discoveries to be claimed beyond it. I don't see that being the case for very long though, if we've learned anything from the previous games it's smush d'rek early.

He can access either from 107, right?
Anyway, when it comes back round to me, I will provisionally pass,, unless IH builds in or moves to a hex bordering one of mine.
Once passed, the above applies to reactions.

I confirm my provisional - so upgrade Plasma Cannon over Ion Cannon and Electron Computer over blank space on Interceptor

My sig comes from a game in which I didn't heed Blend's advice. So maybe this time I should. ~ Khellendros
I'm just going to have to come to terms with the fact that self-vote suiciding will forever be referred to as "pulling a JPK" now, aren't I? ~ JPK

yeah, don't tell tatts this cause I'm trying to play tough-guy
Haven't decided where to go with it yet to be perfectly honest. The double cruiser was kinda the whole point of the way I ended last turn. Wanted to leave lots of options, but the problem is that the options are all still there!
EDIT
Nvm...I checked. It might be a cruiser actually. There is a disco tile beneath.

This is an interesting position. I border (or almost border) on so many people, and I have the potential to accrue so much income and resources, but with each disc put down or used as an action costing so much it would take me until round 4 or 5 to actually influence and colonize all the spaces I want... and that's with only spending research on Advanced things but not military research. Naturally, no one is going to leave me alone that long. So do I try and scrap together resources and tech to resist, slowing my production gains? Or do I just try and colonize/influence as much as possible and let the systems that get attacked be destroyed? I guess there's a third option of trying to schmooz into an alliance so I don't face so many threats on all sides, too. Hmmmmm.

I'm on the fence right now about whether or not I want to suggest an alliance with you.
I figure if I've got your Ancient Highway protecting one side of my galaxies, I could flood through Khell's backdoor and potentially remove him as one of the thorns in your side. You'd still have a bunch of others to worry about, but I could still be a useful alliance member to have.
But then, there's the general rule of 'stomp D'rek and Twelve' which I should keep in mind. Hmmmmmmmmmm.....
If I don't ally with you, and don't go after Khell, I think I'm eventually going to want/need one or two of the hexes to the south of me that you currently have influenced.

Question - I know as a reaction, you can only either Build, Move or Upgrade - if I were to do one of those as a reaction, could I use my Geminga (Pulsar) hex so it wouldn't cost me anything, or do I have to actually use it during a turn?

You can only use the Pulsar in lieu of a regular Action. ie once you Pass you can't use the Pulsar.

Pulsar has to be used as a regular action before you pass. I believe.
Edit: And it looks like I was correct.

Yeah, I've certainly been thinking about the same. Depends a lot on if/who we could get as a third member of the alliance, too. If it were Khell we could use the warp portal for our own good and I could probably concentrate on holding off Twelve and Gnaw while you two pincer southward and westward.
Could work... or might not at all.
Or CF comes on board and we powerhouse attack in all directions, you against Khell, CF southwards and me either northeast, against the GC or against Tapper.
Again, could work... or might fail miserably

If I ally with you, do I still have to fight ancients? The reason I ask is that an alliance with you would only help me if I could use it to move my troops around the map more easily, but if I still have to fight the ancients, I'd basically HAVE to go through Khell to get anywhere else in the galaxy.
